Glad ya liked the poem norikon,broken hearts do indeed suck. More so when you infact really did love and still love the person. It's impossible to forget and avoid the pain,but I find writing allows me to express my feelings in a healthy and non destructive way. Guess the best poems really do come from true emotions as a poem is only as strong as the feelings that went into writing it. I mean anyone can write a poem,but it stands out more when you can actually feel the emotions in the poem lifting off the page if you know what I mean. I am far from a master poet,but I can be 100% confident in my ability to express my true emotions on paper.

On that note here is another poem I wrote in the style of a suicide poem.

Tranquility by Savage Genius

"Please do not cry tears of sorrow.
For I will be forgotten come morrow.
Exhausted from futile efforts to achieve peace.
My soul is trapped in a endless web of depression unable to find release.
It is impossible in life to find stability.
So through death I seek tranquility.

Please do not mourn me as I have excepted this as my fate.
Life is not worth living when pain and suffering is all that await.
Pretending I was alright and faking a smile was such a chore.
My smile is now real as feelings of anguish shall hurt me no more.
As I take my life I unleash one final scream.
My soul shall now sleep locked away in a eternal dream.

Please do not feel pity for me as it is unneeded.
I am tormented no more through death I have succeeded.
It is hard to say why my life went awry.
That is not important tho as it is time to say goodbye.
I take one last breath as my consciousness subsides.
In the unknown my soul now resides."

My poem to my dog:
You know I would travel with you to far away lands
but sometimes I wonder if you only like the salt on my hands.

So I am turning 25 tomorow and thought I would write a poem about it. The poem is kind of a downer,but hey life sucks so why sugar coat it .

Tho maybe my luck will change and I'll hit a jackpot and become rich since I'll be in lake tahoe for two days . I mean I would still be depressed,but atleast I could buy fake happiness if I had money . If nothing else I'll be drunk off my ass and have some fun for atleast a couple of days .

"Hello there age twenty five.
My depression only seems to thrive.
I barely have the will to survive.
Still I keep hope one day someone will arrive.
Someone who will give me reason to stay alive.

Hello there strands of white hair.
I look in the mirror and all I see is despair.
If my life was a game it would be solitaire.
So much misery it hardly seems fair.
Moments of happiness are all too rare.

Hello there remnants of a broken dream.
Pain and sorrow flow from me like an endless stream.
My feelings of depression are quite extreme.
When I think about all the time I have wasted I want to scream.
Is it any wonder I have such low self esteem.

Hello there better days gone by.
I think back at what could have been and let out a sigh.
My heart is so cold I can't even cry.
Feelings of hopelessness clouds my vision I just want to die.
I stay alive tho I don't know why.

Anyway, so this is one of my poems. Its not any of my best work, and its really disjointed, but I though it was worth sharing. Its working title is the "The Flight of Constantine."

I feel a chord break inside my mind
As I stare in to your eyes
And it gets me all to thinking
About why our false god cries
I wish I had that moment
I could seal it in a jar
And stare at it longingly
As I sat from afar
Your voice makes me quiver
Like a long forgotten dream
The world tends to never really be what it seems

Sometimes you get that hope
You just can’t drive away
You sit there and think about it, every single day
Like staring at the water
From high above the sea
The coastal breeze runs through your soul

I dunno, I suppose I could relate to them the most. I too am a lonely fucked up nutcase who pimps hoes and steals purses.
