 Short films
Do you enjoy watching short films? I often prefer watching them to full-length ones since I often don't have the patience to watch 2 hour films, which is the average length of films. Recently, I watched two short films that I enjoyed. One was Chronos (1985); the other was Le Ballon Rouge (1956). Both films were great. I'm gonna watch a string of short films in the next while. I'll likely watch Anima Mundi (1992) next. Here's a great scene from Le Ballon Rouge:

 Re: Short films
Just saw two interesting shorts on TV. I liked them both.
"Mei Ling" by Stéphanie Lansaque and François Leroy
I can't find the other one - maybe you can look for it by yourself. "Fard" by David Alapont and Luis Briceno

 Re: Short films
There was a free DVD give away in one of the Sunday papers last week which was a collection of short films that looked quite interesting. Each director provides one of the short films. Seeing as they're really early efforts from all them, it'll be interesting to see how well they fare (seeing as they were made under constrained and very modest budgets, along with 'early days' inexperience). They are:
Amelia and the Angel Directed by: Ken Russell
Boy and Bicycle Directed by: Ridley Scott
The Burning Directed by: Stephen Frears
I'm British But... Directed by: Gurinder Chadha
Where's the Money Ronnie! Directed by: Shane Meadows
I'll give them shot and see how they all are. Shouldn't be too shabby at all.

 Re: Short films
Of course. Just because it's anime doesn't mean it isn't a short film.

 Re: Short films
Well there you go then. I really liked it, somehow it was very meaningful.

Destino (Salvador Dali and Walt Disney, 1946; 6 min, 47 seconds) You have to go to YouTube to watch it (click the link), since the embedding function for it is disabled.

 Re: Short films
Here's an excellent short Japanese art house anime based on Franz Kafka's story "A Country Doctor".
