Do you cry often?

I used to cry on a near daily basis. Now, I hardly cry.

I don't think I cry that often but once or twice every two months something always ends up happening or I remember bad memories.

It's funny you posted this today because I actually had a huge brake down at school. Yesterday made it five years that my best friend had been gone. The thing I got so upset about was that I didn't realize this til well into the afternoon. I got mad at myself and got upset that I was forgetting what he looked like and even when he died. So, I got to school today and I was walking around and I just couldn't focus at all, I could barely get a sentence out without saying "uh" five times. I was thinking about going to see one of the counselors at my school and then I got all scared because I didn't go there often but after i got halfway down the hall I turned around.

Luckily, the counselor my brother loved was open and I was able to see her. I walked in, sat down, and I wasn't nervous anymore but after my first sentence I just began to choke, there was a huge lump in my throat and if I blinked or said anything I was screwed. I started crying for no reason. I said sorry and was trying to get out what my original motive of coming here was. I asked her what she thought about me being scared to forget his face and details about him. I had a good talk with her and she told me that I should come in more to talk to her. It was the second time I've ever opened up to someone about it and for once I don't feel scared or anything. I trust her.

I wasn't sure what to pick, but I picked yes because that's technically the truth. I tear up frequently & sometimes even actually cry, but it's over things I'm reading or seeing on TV, movies, etc. & not over my real life. When it comes to my own life, I don't cry often.

Basically never. Grew up with a bit of a 'traditionalist' view of "men don't cry." If i do (death's the main cause), it's in private.

Maybe once a year. It's usually something dumb like a sad movie or even a song.

I was an emotional wreck when I was a teenager; I cried often.
Today, I'll tear up over a sad song or movie, but no waterfalls.

I usually cry randomly, out of nowhere, every few days. I'll be feeling normal and then suddenly I'll start to shudder and sob suddenly, even though I still feel fine.

Most days at the moment, it sucks that i'm so weak.

I cry pretty frequently.
Sometimes it's over dumb things but sometimes I just need to let out all the shit I bottle up. It's weird how I'll be fine then just out of no where it'll come out.

Promiced myself myself never to cry... and since i have problem with emotionless I just feel emptines..

Nearly everyday... Last time I did, I needed to leave the cafeteria in school early because I was reluctant to go anyway- and that's basically forbidden- and the teacher was asking me where I was going, how I shouldn't leave etc. and then I started crying because ... there were so many people and I didn't feel well and he was asking questions and I just needed to be alone D: sdfkjsjf
I didn't attend the two classes after that...

I wish I could cry. I can only cry when someone close to me dies, now. For some reason I haven't been able to cry otherwise for about 3 years now. It sucks. ._.

not usually, but lately I've been extra moody from not eating enough and stuff and I cry almost daily. I get tears in my eyes, at the very least...

More often than I would like. I feel so lonely sometimes, it hurts.

Sometimes when I get deeper into my depression. I recently cried for the first time in front of people for awhile because we found my cat with his neck caught in a conibear trap. I don't think I've cried since the very unlikely recovery.

Rarely and when I have a meltdown.

I rarely ever do. Even when I am miserable. I have tried to make myself cry before, but I just can't. I guess I have all of the years that I have swallowed my emotions to thank for that. The last time I cried was when I was burying my kitty on St. Patrick's Day.

i used to cry a lot more than i do now.
like, it was at EVERYTHING; an overly-emotional commercial on tv used to
make me burst into tears. i would cry over anything and everything. nowadays
it takes a lot to make me cry. even my pet dying didn't make me cry although i
was really sad. :/

I cry very often.

When I see sad things on TV or read about sad things.
Or when I am overexerted and I am really fast emotionally overexerted.

A bit more often than I should.

I have not cried due to anything depression or anxiety related since xmas though.

I tend to cry often while watching movies.

Yeah, I cry daily, usually once or twice. Not very rare to have up to 4 or 5 incidents some days, or 5+ when I've been up for a few days. I can't help it, it just starts happening. It's like a series of connected anxiety attacks, I guess. They aren't that big of a deal when I'm at home, but when I go to school, it's a huge problem. Of course some days I'll be so busy, there will be no time to cry. That's good. But when I'm having a slower day, and I'm at the library or at school, I'll usually have to go to the bathroom and let it out at some point. (Pun.) Yeah. So, at home and school, if I'm not stupidly absorbed in something, my thoughts will become so convoluted and knotted and threatening in my mind that I'll begin to cry.

Sometimes, even when I'm deeply absorbed in a project, I'll be hit with like, a wave of reality that will still make me cry. I'll realize that I'll never be able to truly escape my thoughts unless I take drastic measures. That's when I'll turn to a sedative, or something. Or weed. Weed is kind of a lame though, but it's easy to get and cheap as hell. I usually take Ritalin before I smoke, because it almost aways ends up in a thoughtful, fast-faced, analytical high. Even like, mildly psychedelic, I would say. (Or a horrible, unforgettably bad trip. I can never tell.) I'd always do this, 24/7, but the come down is fucking rough. So yeah. I dunno.
Also, when I cry in these situations, I usually have no facial expression.It makes sense. I mean, it's not like I'm in physical pain or anything, it's completely psychological. So the tears just seem to come out as an automatic response to my emotions, or something. That's actually kind of fascinating. How do our emotions illicit physical responses within our bodies. Fucked up.
Well yeah. I'm just so uncomfortable and unhappy in my my own skin all the time, so I cry. I have trouble coping with my feelings.

l used to cry a lot. Now l find myself wanting to cry, but can't. l usually have to get drunk and hurt myself in order to cry. lt actually feels really good to get all the emotions out.
