Re: What are you currently reading? Illywhacker by Peter Carey. An interesting read if you're interested in Australian history. It fits the sub genre of 'picaresque' as it has lots of characters and follows the exploits of a 'lovable rogue'. I have read some of Carey's books in the past. I like his writing style and descriptive prose.
