I didn't really watch a lot of tv, I was usually grounded. I still don't, I usually end up watching shows on dvd or on the internet.

So do I, and it began airing here when I was in my late teens or early 20's! I still like the old series. The original one + the one set in Johto, not so much the one that followed, with Max and his sister. He was so annoying!

In my childhood I watched lots of different shows, whatever was on TV for children. We didn’t have that much to choose from in the 1980’s. (Stop giggling, you snooty kids!)

Those I really liked – and remember here and now - were The Mole (the cute cartoon from Tchechoslovakia), She came out of the blue sky (also Chech), Pat & Mat (also Chech… now I’m almost getting worried!), Thomas the tank engine, Postman Pat and various Norwegian series, including Ante, a miniseries about a Sami boy forced to go to regular Norwegian school which he hated, while all he wanted was to live in the traditional way, herding reindeer. I could SO relate! (Well, not the reindeer thing but the extreme dissatisfaction with regular society and the desperate need for something else.)
I also watched Fraggle rock and the Muppet show (which I didn’t really understand at that age, but I liked Kermit).

I also had 4 videos I watched constantly: Lassie’s rescue rangers, Mystery at castle house, and 2 with Danger Mouse.

I also watched He-Man, Transformers, Mask, Gadget, Dennis and Skippy (I was sooo in love with Sonny!) on Sky Channel (Fun factory show, DJ Kat show) from I was 6 and up to 11-12 when we lost Sky, but these weren’t translated or dubbed so the first years my understanding was fairly limited.

I also remember another cartoon from Fun factory, but I don’t recall its name. It was about a girl (red haired), two men (one with light brown hair, one with dark brown hair, one of them had a light stripe in his hair), an old man with white beard and a weird hat (not unlike Dumbledorr) and the girl had a flying dolphin or fish. They traveled on a star ship. I don’t remember it all that well, I mostly remember the characters and that I liked it back then. Can anyone tell me what it was called?


I can’t recall what I watched in my early teens other than ”The press gang”.

It was the first anime to spark and interest for me in anime.

Series I liked in my teen years: "Space cases" and "The girl from tomorrow".

Ninja Turtles, Care Bears, My Little Pony and Friends, Doraemon, all the girly cartoons. After primary school I started watching animes. Until now I still do.

Loved all the Looney Tunes / Hanna Barbera stuff.
I could watch Tom & Jerry all the time and I would never get bored of them haha.

And I like to watch old Anime like Heidi, Maya The Bee, Anne of Green Gables, Pollyanna, Rock n' Roll Kids, etc. etc.
But "Sailor Moon" was the first anime I really knew it was one.

Ah yeah - anyone remembers "The Animals of Farthing Wood" ? So beautiful and sad... I hated it when animals died or got killed...

My favourite show was by far The Moomins, but I didn't bother with times for when stuff showed up, I just watched whatever was on, so I ended up watching all kinds of stuff. I think apart from The Moomins, I watched all the different shows from The Disney Afternoon, and later a lot of stuff on Cartoon Network. Sheep in the Big City is my favourite from there, but sadly it was so short! And they didn't rerun.

I watched a lot of animes on tv, because I spent the first 10 years of my childhood growing up in asia, and that's all they show on tv. Some of them are actually quite popular now probably: Dr.Slump, Maison Ikkoku, Touch, Dragonball, Saint Seiya, Mashin Hero Wataru. There are quite a few with names I don't really know. When I was in Canada at about 11 or 12, pretty sure the first cartoon I watched was beetlejuice, I watched a lot of bugs bunny, inspector gadget, and more dragonball.

My favorite was dragonball, I'm probably one of the few that don't think dragonball was lame =P

Yeah i watched Barney, when i was really little i was raised on PBS Barney, Sesame Street, Arthur. When I got a lil older I remember watching The PG American version of Darkstalkers, the Flintstones, Rainbow Brite, the Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcake, Pound Puppies, Goof Troop, all the Disney movie spin-off tv shows, like Aladdin, Timon and Pumba, Hercules and Little Mermaid.

Oh GARGOYLES, was the shit!

I watched way too much TV as a kid, mainly shows from the 90's & when I was little, cartoons from the late 80's to early 90's like "Dennis the Menace," "DuckTales," "Alvin & the Chipmunks," etc. I really miss 90's television. Especially sitcoms. They've gone completely downhill since then & most of them suck.

At one point in time, that was one of my favorite shows.

Not much! I was more into video games! But I did drop the controller and watch a few, Ninja Turtles, Spider-Man, Super Mario Show, Samurai Pizza Cats, Dragon Ball, and MegaMan. I think I more or less liked the shows that were spin offs of video games, or made me chuckle.
