Also it will be nice if there is an ''edit post'' button so you can edit you're post.

Sadly the host doesn't let people make their avatars larger than 20 KB in size when uploading avatars directly to the site. However, if you use an image-hosting site and the directly-link to the avatar, the avatar size can be as large as you want it to be.

I actually took away the ability for people to edit their posts since problems can arise when too many people edit their posts.

I forgot that this was one of the ways to the solution, thanks.

How about automatic e-mail notification when someone has replied to a topic one has posted on? Like WP and AFF has...


I can't see any options on making polls. Polls can be a good thing. Will this become an option?

After clicking on a thread, at the top left it says Subscribe topic | Bookmark topic | E-mail friend. Click on 'Subscribe topic' to receive emails when you want to be notified when a topic has received a response.

Polls are also enabled. You just of course have to create a new thread if you want to create a poll.

How do we delete or edit our own posts?

I dont really like this live traffic feed box down the bottom. i know it seems liek a cute novelty, but i dont really like people knowing when/how often i come here - you can already see that caesium visits like every hour and i think that should be private

Add a make your own playlist for the music lovers. Like what you have at the bottom of the start page.

okay, I can understand the no editing post thing long term but would there be a way to set a time limit.

Maybe give people 15 minutes to edit post.

I mean people will make spelling mistakes or silly errors.

I just did.

I think I might give members five minutes or so to edit posts. This may not sound like much, but should be adequate enough to fix an error or two. If this isn't long enough, I'll increase it to ten minutes or so. VIPs will still be able to edit their posts whenever they feel like doing so.

Now - let me just try to find the settings in the Administration Control Panel to put these settings into effect....

I will simply allow everyone on the site to edit their posts for seven minutes upon submitting. If you need to have a post edited after this time has expired, let me know.

Maybe there is already this possibility, but is there any way to turn off the animation below names that got added and possibly switch to non-animated smilies? Too many animations for me at the moment.

Right now I have smilies turned off and I image-blocked the animations below names and that works somewhat, but it has some consequences and it might be easier to just have an option for it (provided it's not too hard to code that).

I find that most of the animated user-icons look great. However, I find the 'User' baby icon to be a little bit distracting.

I'm not sure if the smilies in the Quick-Reply form were distracting to you, but I have (at least temporarily) removed the Quick-Reply form since I myself found it was somewhat distracting to see all of the emoticons there while reading people's posts near the bottom of the page.

I'm pretty sure that it would be impossible to make an option for people to be able to hide the icons themselves without using something like Ad-BlockPlus or an image-blocking hosts file.

I will be leaving the animated smileys on, but they will only appear when you go to reply to a topic since I have (possibly temporarily) removed the Quick-Reply box. Just to let you know, I personally find the animated smileys to look a lot better than the generic PHPBB smileys that are installed by default.

I didn't find it distracting either. And I thought the quick reply was a good thing.

I don't know, I personally like the skin and find that it looks professional unlike most of the skins I've looked at. Most of the skins look tacky and appear like they were designed with gaming forums in mind.

I initially was going to use a dark theme here, but after doing this at one of my other forums, I had realized that dark skins don't appeal to very many people.



What kind of skin did you have in mind?

Is there some way you can make it so when you click on a link, the chat doesn't refresh? that way instead of having to open threads in a new tab/window, we can do it all in the same window.

I'll take a stab at this one. I am pretty sure it cannot be done, because the webchat is considered an embedded forum object on here. Unless we can find a way to change that, I don't think it can be made to move with you from page to page.

I love to post in forums using my PSP, with the other Hikikomori forum I haven't any problem doing that, but here I can't. Is there any way to depurate the site a little bit to make it lighter or make the so called PDA version of this forum? I can't get to a PC everytime I want to post. So, I'd really appreciate your support in this matter.
