Like some other people I would like a mobile version of the site if possible, but I understand it isn't that easy to make, but there does seem to be some free phpBB plugins to do that but I couldn't find any apps which work without the forum already being compatible.

Also my main problem, is that when I click on a link to view a post from an email, if I'm not logged in, once i login and doesn't redirect to that latest post, it just takes me back to the homepage

Hi, i thought i saw a treatment subcatagory yesterday but i might have misread as another thread. Would it be possible to consider a board for treating or coping (word of that nature) as a means of directly conversing with people easily on what they have been doing or consider in doing to alleviate their recluse?

I appreciate some people are fine with their hiki, but im sure others would like to see ways out of it at some point.

. I personally think it's better for people to discuss things which appeal to a very small percentage of the population on forums that specialize in these areas
. If I'd add misc. topics like that, other people could get angry if they'd request me to add misc. topics and have me not create them
. I've always been worried about HikiCulture appearing to be "just another otaku board". I want people to take this board at least somewhat seriously and not just think we're fans of Welcome to the NHK or anything. If this place gave off too strong of an otaku vibe, we'd likely scare off non-otakus which I wouldn't want. People who don't like anime/manga generally hate it

fair enough, was just a general idea although I believe there is more than a 10% fan base on this forum for welcome to the NHK among other anime.

I also believe that more than 10% of people here are fans. I just said that about 5-10% are hardcore otakus and that the rest of the people here who enjoy anime/manga are just casual fans (i.e. - people who can live without talking about anime/manga everyday). If you look through the list of boards, you'll see that there really aren't any highly specialized topics and despite the hikikomori phenomenon being associated with Japan (which is where anime and manga come from), an anime/manga board would feel out of place IMO.

I guess i can see where your coming from, and i'll leave it at that.

I don't think that's possible. I can remove boards from that section, but I don't think the users here can choose which boards they want to show up and not show there.

Maybe an event calendar for online gaming sessions (runescape, WoW, Everquest, etc etc) would be nice because then we could set up a hiki gaming crew or even just randomnly play online old school emulator games. I know a few emulators that support online play because I commonly play 2p tetris with a friend with my original nintendo emulator and he lives in Britain.

How about a larger assortment of "smilies" to post with our replies. I've been on other forums that have a much larger selection of pictures and animated smilies and what not. Its kind of a silly request I know, but it seems to make the forum more entertaining in my opinion.

I am pretty sure that the emoticons we have now suit us and have more than enough emoticons. If you feel there isn't enough, you can always make your own. （´∀｀）
