 Re: PSP/PDA or lighter version?
I would try disabling pictures, as that's a big drain on the PSP when browsing the net. Try it that way.

 Re: PSP/PDA or lighter version?
What exactly is wrong when you try to browse this forum on your PSP? Does anything load? Maybe try using the URL http://www.hikiculture.prophpbb.com rather than http://www.hikiculture.com if you're not using it.

 Re: PSP/PDA or lighter version?
Well, the problem comes when I try to reply the topics, sometimes I can't visualize the POST button and when it shows it's the same bothering message again: that my post is too short. Anyway, I think I'm no having that trouble today via PC, I'll try via PSP when at home today and I'll tell you exactly what's wrong.

 Re: PSP/PDA or lighter version?
Oh well - you told that in this other thread, didn't you? I mentioned there I was getting the same message but I'm on my laptop so I didn't think it has to do with your PSP/PDA. =/

 Re: PSP/PDA or lighter version?
I have actually had that 'post too short' message come up once or twice. It hasn't happened for well over a month or longer - I'm not sure why it happens. If it ever happens to you again, maybe clear your browser's cache and cookies, then log into the site again.

can you put the view new posts/view active topics, etc, etc at the bottom of the pages, too? it would save a few miles on my scroll wheel.

 Re: Site suggestions?
I would like it if the 'current mood' field was a text field instead of a dropdown menu. There are some things not in the list and entering them would be easier. Although people could enter nonsense like stylizations then, I know. If the dropdown menu was meant to prevent that, then never mind.

 Re: Site suggestions?
I prefer that the mood selector has a drop-down menu for it rather than a text-field. I can add more moods though if you want. Tell me what you want me to add.

 Re: Site suggestions?
I think maybe there's too many forums here for so little people, many of which could be condensed into, Hikikomori, off-topic, education, entertainment, and health. The less forums, the more activity—I would think. For example: exercise, diet, medication, and therapy, could all be addressed in health and will get more readers if they overlap. Just a suggestion.

Quality forums split things up into many boards. It's good to put threads into non-vague categories. People enjoy visiting boards that cater to their interests. Technically anything non hikikomori-related could be put into Off-topic, but it's really nice to stick topics into less vague boards. Less categories definitely doesn't mean less activity. Whenever I visit boards that only have three or four categories, I immediately think that the board admin is lazy and doesn't know much about running a forum. How many successful boards have you used that only have three or four forums on them? I doubt very many, if any at all. If there were "exercise, diet, medication, and therapy" boards I would likely create a "Health" forum, but those boards don't exist. The current health-related boards I have are Asperger's, depression, anxiety and other disorders. All of those disorders deserve their own categories since they are all very distinct hikikomori-related conditions. "Other disorders" is vague, but I of course can't create boards for every disorder that exists, so I have to settle for it.

 Re: Site suggestions?
They usually add more forums when it gets too busy. If there's too many forums, it's hard to be very active and engaged. Just a thought.

 Re: Site suggestions?
This forum is growing quickly though. The forum has an average of about two new registrations a day, but that number is steadily going up. This forum could have nearly 1000 users by the end of next year. The forums are mainly all in alphabetical order, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. You'll eventually memorize the location of the boards you want to use. Something else you can do is subscribe to boards you enjoy reading.

 Re: Site suggestions?
Cool! I like small forums, but this one seems like it could handle some steady growth. I've also noticed, based on the stats, that there are often as many "guests" or "lurkers" viewing the site as logged in registered users. I think this site has the potential to become somewhat well-known as a resource for reclusive people. With that in mind, maybe the Adult section should be viewable by members only? Maybe make it a sub-forum of the Private section, if that's possible? I think that making the Adult section private would allow people to feel more comfortable posting there.

 Re: Site suggestions?
It's already private. I'll add the fact that it's private to its description.

By the way... it is possible to add more smileys? The Hot Guys/Girls threads could need a drooling smiley. And this one too...

Is it possible to add a "Mark All Topics As Read" button? Or is the currently one?

I think it would be nice to have a Health board. No hurry, though. Just casting my vote.
