Post Cover Versions
I'm obsessed with cover versions of songs, i'll put up some of my favourites later on. This wouldn't rank amongst them, but i just heard it and i feel the need to share. Is a PJ Harvey cover, though the original song is just 1 minute so this is considerably expanded on. I love Marianne Faithfull and PJ Harvey, so this is a pretty perfect mix for me.

I don't usually like covers, unless they're the first versions I hear. Here's a singer from YouTube covering one of my favorite songs from Lifehouse called "Simon."

Knots, I love that cover. CCR rules.

One cover I enjoyed recently was Yakuza doing Pink Floyd's Lucifer Sam. They really put their own spin on it and made it even darker. It was probably one of the few songs I enjoyed from the Syd Barret tribute album. I can't find it on youtube, but here's their myspace. First song on the list.

I dislike when people make Hatsune Miku do covers of songs. Sure, she's a program and her voice can't be perfect, but after a while her voice gets really ear-bleed-y and annoying. There are a lot of songs that only she sings that would sound great if they were sung by a regular singer. Also, when some girls cover songs from an anime they all have that same Kagome voice. Or that really annoying squirrel voice. I don't know. x_x

She's doing it all wrong. She's singing in tune.

I often love cover versions better than the original. Also, they're usually the first versions I hear & I don't find out til later that they were originally sung by someone else. Here are just some:
