Any fellow 'Big Brother' fans out there?
I know we're outta season, but I would think that at least some of my fellow recluses would enjoy this show?
I love this show!

Re: Any fellow 'Big Brother' fans out there?
Even though it's seen as a "thick majority" thing to do, i won't shy away from saying I bloody love the show. I've missed the past couple of series, and they're killing it off altogether due to declining ratings after the next celebrity one, but still. Cracking show, shame all the Shilpa Shetty stuff dragged it down, i don't really think that should've been blamed on the show as a whole - put racist people in a house and they'll be racist there as well, no surprise. Ol' Jade dying kinda put the curtains on it too i suppose.
I realise the some versions made a few innovations of their own, but i imagine they all followed generally the same format. How was the Canadian version? I would've loved to have seen the German one where it lasted much longer than usual on a larger scale, if i've heard that right.

There's never been a Canadian version; we get the American (which is very different from the British - more like Survivor). I saw Celebrity Hijack online and really liked that one!

Well, you're in luck! Wiki says you've got a Canadian version coming up next year

I liked it, I used to watch many of the episodes when I was a kid.

Re: Any fellow 'Big Brother' fans out there?
I've watched every episode of the UK show starting from series 3. Watched all the spin-offs be it Celebrity BB, or the ill-fated Teen Big Brother. Plus I watch all the side shows, Big Brothers Little Brother, Big Brothers Big Mouth, there used to be a sunday show which delved into the psycholgy of the contestants, watched that too. So yeah, you could say I'm a fan.

I'd rather slide down a banister of razor blades and into a pool of alcohol than watch that show.

Heh. Each to their own I guess.
I have an unhealthy appetite for trashy reality tv. Not all types though, X-factor style competitions I find boring as hell.

I pretty much forgot about them as I haven't watched them since I was 14 or 15. They'd no longer do anything for me, but there were some reality shows like The Mole which I enjoyed quite a bit. I didn't watch Survivor until the second season and enjoyed it, but it started to bore me; however, I continued to watch it for the hot chicks.

Not a fan of the show, but if I had a big brother I'm sure I'd have some kind of big brother complex. If I had a boyfriend I'd probably end up calling him "Onii-chan".

Re: Any fellow 'Big Brother' fans out there?
Reality tv used to be kind of interesting when it was real people. Now it's just attention whores who want to be on tv. I still watch Survivor and The Amazing Race with my mom. There's this guy Russel on Survivor who I'd love to beat to death.

Yeah that sounds about right. I watched some of the episodes the first time it was aired here. I thought it sucked from day 1 but watched a few more to see if it got any better. I don't get the attraction at all. These shows are so bor-ring. This is your brain. Thies is yur braein on to moch reealety telivesieon. ...

Meh, different people enjoy different things. To say people are less intelligent or whatever for enjoying a different type of show from you is a bit much.

Aren't the European versions way better than the American ones?
There's a very, very, very hot video of two lesbians having sex from like the Ukrainian one which has always made me very angry that that stuff is not on the American versions. Not that I've ever watched it, but know CBS is hatin' on lesbian pron.

Yeah, there's some good porn that comes out of the European versions. Other than that, I don't watch the show. Reality TV makes me rage.

The American ones are incredibly over-edited in my eyes. That goes for all reality shows though

This years Big Brother has been pretty good I feel, the last task was one of the best there's ever been. Anyone watching Big Brother 10, or is it just me?

Big Brother is worse than AIDS & Camel Spiders combined. Fact, definite fact... + = Big Bollocks.
