Post Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker...
What sorts of jobs would you guys ideally have?

As for me, I'd love to be a high-powered Admin/Network Engineer playing with lots of servers and infrastructure.

I'm working as an Admin/Engineer now, luckily i can do a lot of stuff remotely, but its pretty small and basic.
To get the kind of job i want id have to work in a big building, in a big city... not likely to happen the way i am now -.-'

Well, I'm kind-of (I say kind-of because it's very difficult & I'm barely getting through it), kind-of in school now to become a librarian. I've wanted to be a librarian ever since I was a kid. Other than that, I would love to be a published author or a historian, among other things.

Ideally..hmm..so is it something like a dream job?

For me, I've always wanted to be a performing artist. I want to record my own albums, have live concert tours, act in movies, thank the Academy for the best screenplay award and produce my own independent film. That has been my dream, and it will always be a dream...only.

For something more realistic, I'll probably write script for dramas.

Yea its kinda boring because nowadays everyone wants to be one: graphic designer/game designer
But I know that I will never get such a job because its nearly impossible to find a job like this here in germany, but I still dont know what I gonna do after school, I guess I take the next best job I can get.

Some time ago I thought about becoming a crime scene cleaner

Hmm.... I don't really know what to become. Maybe become a translator. But to get qualificated for being one I had to go to a language college school for years. Though I've enough of all that crap...

There are all kinds of unrealistic things I'd love to do, but what I'm currently planning is to work with museums and such, or at least work with art in some form. Another plan is college teacher, which my education would also qualify me as.

i want to be a professional organizer. i thought i wanted to be a decorator/designer because my grandmother is a designer and i have a really good eye for color, but anyone can tell you to paint the wall tan and buy new furniture. i want to show people how to work with what they have, and how to use tricks and systems to keep all their things in order and get rid of the clutter and stuff that's getting in the way or making their lives more difficult.

here is a tip to organize your closet and get rid of clothes you never wear: turn all your hangers around backwards on the rod (hook them from the backside). every time you take something out to wear, turn that hanger around and hang that piece of clothing normally when you put it away. after three to six months, or however long you want to take, you will see which clothes you don't wear because all the hooks are still backwards. those clothes can all be taken out and donated, sold, or whatever.

Currently I've been thinking about how cool it would be to be a documentary film-maker. :fool Well I guess it's more realistic than becoming a professional footballer or a football manager.

Oddly enough I'm planning on becoming a Petroleum Geologist. I usually love being outdoors but only in remote areas.

I don't think there's an ideal job for me. As soon as something becomes a responsibility, it's no longer fun.

Author, editor, maybe a visual artist.

I'd like to have a job where I can work on my own (or at home if that's possible) and don't have to talk to other people a lot.
