This documentary was on PBS & is called "Today's Man." This was one of the first things that made me think I could have Asperger's Syndrome (later, a therapist asked me if I had ever been diagnosed which made me wonder even more). Even though this guy is less-functioning than me in a lot of ways, he's also higher functioning than me in others, but I could still see a lot of myself in him. Here's a clip from YouTube:

I still haven't been tested, so I don't know. I'm 95% certain I would be diagnosed with either HFA (which isn't much different than Asperger's) or PDD-NOS, whenever am able to get tested, though.

.

"Brats: Our Journey Home"

It won 19 Awards.

It's about 'Military Brats' (the children of career military families, who grow up moving all the time, and have no home towns).

Military brats lose their friends over and over again, while growing up-- due to the constant moving from military base to military base.

(Brats move anywhere from 9 to 25 times growing up, due to their father or mother's military transfers)

Plus there are the other stresses of growing up in a military family, like your Dad going to war, and military discipline in (some) of the military families.

**I was a military brat myself.

Military brats tend to go one of two different ways-- they have a high rate of AVDP (Avoidant personality disorder) , but then other military brats go the other way, and are highly social.

I am a combination of the two, believe it or not. I am social (**but only online)-- but face-to-face-- I am a true Hikikimori!

Religulous
Image
Quote:
Religulous (pronounced /rɨˈlɪdʒʉləs/) is a 2008 American comedy/political film written by and starring political comedian Bill Maher and directed by Larry Charles. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous"; the documentary examines and mocks organized religion and religious belief.
