Insidious. I thought it was a good story but I don't get what was so damn scary about it. It was just standard.

Neds - It was good at portraying ned culture, and the general shittiness of growing up in that sort of environment (which is to be expected considering who the director is) but other than that it had no point. There was no discernible plot whatsoever. I think the only reason I enjoyed it is because I could relate to it somewhat.
There Will Be Blood - This was such a good film, and unlike anything I'd seen before. I bought it because I'd heard a lot of good things about it and I'm really glad I did. Daniel Day Lewis was brilliant.

Last time I watch a movie mentioned by Suedehead. It was a good movie, a good portrait of a culture, a growing-up phase. But felt so shitty watching it, its a depressing and sad story. Probably not unique, but still. The moment when the father says to the daughter, while they're having dinner, "Cover your ears" ...
Not that I prefer feel-good movies or romantic comedy's.

I have to go to work tomorrow.
A very good point, this movie need english subtitles! The Scottish dialect was quite difficult to understand...

The original movie, by Stanley Cubrick and starring the eminent Jack Nicholson scared the crap out of me when I first saw it. Nowadays I steer away from horror-flicks. Too much emotions+ 10 times scarier watching alone
Just saw Legendary Amazons
One thing was that it was dual hard-subbed English and Cantonese. Tiny letters. Story was meh. Acting was meeh. Only plus-point would be that Pei-pei Cheng, the Jade Fox from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, had a role. So imagine yourself the verdict...

At the end did he take the kid he beat up with him just in case he needed to feed him to the lions to protect himself, or was it try to show that he changed and was looking out for him. Do you think they got eaten? :-s

No. I dont think they got eaten, the lions didn't seem too bothered about them walking through the pack. And I dont think he brought the other kid with him as bait for the lions. He holds his hand as they start walking, reassuring him.
But why did he assume "they" wouldn't come back for them? Why wouldn't a teacher make sure that his pupils are safe?
Still a good ending to a good, yet disturbing film.
My humble opinion

Re: Last film you watched
2046 - A roughly 2 hour novel about life, love, past, present that in it's way of scenery and setting mostly impressed me for a subtle uniqueness of things that I can't recall to have ever seen somewhere else before. A movie that made me reconsider all the way through down to the moment the credits came up.

Man On The Moon 5/10
I'm not sure if the film was meant to endear you to Andy Kaufman or what, but I finished watching thinking 'what a prat'. Totally unfunny, and not someone worthy of having a feature length film based on their life.

Bin-Jip, also known as 3 Iron. Already a re-watch, but has been years.. Always been a movie dear to me.
More than Blue. With a synopsis that reads like a overused cliche it still feels more classy than anything else and left me in a contemplative mood.

Like 30 minutes of "The Tree of Life" before I shut off upon deciding that it was too arty-farty and uninteresting.
