 Football (Soccer)
Football-lovers on board, let's unite here! ^_^ I'm very interested in the football world so I would like to talk about it with you. (Or am I the only one here ? ) I just saw the draw for South Africa and I can't hardly wait for it. I'll support Germany and Japan. I hope they will come far. What do you think about?

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I am very much so too, and i know a few others here have mentioned it as well Draw was interesting, Group G looks like murder - wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of a shock in France's group either (ie. them going out... i hope ). The stuff with Charlize was a bit cringeworthy tbh, and that kiss at the start where he kissed her right on the microphone and we were all defeaned by the smooch xD Ridiculous stuff. But entertaining

 Re: Football (Soccer)
England have done very well out of the draw. Germany have done better than most. To be honest, I think we should qualify quite comfortably in first place, and although I can't really see Australia, Ghana or Serbia causing Germany too much trouble, they're not easy games. Of course Group G looks the toughest, but Group E is quite interesting also. Holland are favourites, but each of their games (against Denmark, Cameroon and Japan) look tricky. It should be an open tournament. Spain and Brazil appear to be the favourites, but there's lots of competition. England, Germany and Holland are all in good form. And you can never write off Italy, Argentina and France. Plus, Portugal with Ronaldo, and Ivory Coast with Drogba will be a handful. I can't wait!

Yeah, I like football / soccer, and I'm for Australia, so I'm not too optimistic about their prospects in group D . . . Should be interesting anyway.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Barca ripped Stuttgart a new one. The crazy thing is they weren't even trying their best. Can't wait for the Quarter Final draw, nice spread of clubs from various nations. I've got a sneaking suspicion Inter will win it, nothing can defeat José

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Well unfortunately we got drawn with Germany this time, so I'm going to support Australia until we go out, then I'll support Germany of course Other than that My team in the A-league is Melbourne, and in the Bundesliga i go for Bayern Munich. I dont really have a J-league team, but maybe Gamba Osaka since i saw them play And when it comes to real football, I go for Essendon

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Aww, Shizu, your post makes you more sympathic to me. Me neither. If Inter got Barca tomorrow... wow that would be amazing to see who would win it. Well, I hope Bayern will get an easy one. *praying* My wish looks like: Quarter Barca - Inter ManU - Arsenal Lyon - Bordeaux Bayern - Moscow Semi Barca - Arsenal Bayern - Lyon Finals Bayern - Barca (and we'll hear that Messi won't play because of stomach problems )

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I could actually see Bayern reaching the final (but no further ) if that draw came up. Of course, now you've said that, you'll end up with Barca Bayern-ManU would be interesting though. Take some revenge for '99!

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I'm afraid... we'll get to see that very soon. Ah, I remember now... we beat ManU in the quarterfinals in 2001. Could be a good omen. I watched the draw... Arsenal vs Barca will be a very interesting game...

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Can't wait for Arse-Barca! It's the winner of Lyon-Bordueax that faces ManU or Bayern, so you could get your wish of a Bayern-Barca final Oooh, so exciting

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Liverpool fan here. Missed this thread somehow....
Anyway Manchester United V Liverpool this weekend. Liverpool humiliated Man U last year at Old Trafford, not expecting the same result this time, if you offered my a draw I'd take it. Think Liverpool have scored 1 goal in their last 5 away matches, saying that though these games are special, and Liverpool have the tendency to raise their game against the big boys.
I'm predicting a comfortable 2-0 win to Man U, but I'm hoping Liverpool can nick a goal and get a point or better, it's pretty late in the season now and every point counts in that race of fourth.
What do you guys think the score will be?

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I'm hoping for 2-2, because i hate Man Utd as much as i want to see a shake-up in the 'Big Four'. Sorry about that I'm expecting a 4-0, because that's typical fucking ManU
