Well, it's alright. They deserved it. Too bad for the UEFA coefficient though but well - in the final hopefully then.

Good luck to Fulham, they're certainly in with a chance!

Oh my god, I LOVE ham! Only some types, though. Sometimes it can taste really bad.

Yes, some types of ham are delicious. FulHAM is tastier than West HAM this season, but I have a feeling someone here may disagree with that statement. >_> <_<

We've been unashamedly crap this season, and it'd be an honour to have Woy as manager. I'm not afraid of admitting that other teams are better than us

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Last day of the premierleague season tomorrow. The only thing yet to be decided is who will be champions. Chelsea was been massive favourites, if they don't manage to beat Wigan at home it'll be a shock. I'll be glad when this season is over as a Liverpool fan.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
A picture from celebrating the win of Bundesliga championship. BEER SHOWER! It was funny to see how van Gaal tries to escape the beer shower. First he changed his suit during half-time and wore the Bayern track suit. He ran away over the field and the players tried to catch him. The first tries didn't get him full wet. But minutes later van Bommel was hiding with another beer glass and then got him full wet.

Chelsea win the league by scraping past Wigan 8-0. Glad Man U didn't win the league. Sucks that Liverpool have been so poor this season here's hoping it's was just a poor year and not a sign of things to come.

Poor Fulham (-_-)' So close. An ex Man U hitman to wrap things up too. Should be proud of getting to the final, I never expected them to get that far.

That was excellent. Not being a big football/soccer watcher I didn't get all the references but I still enjoyed that a lot.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
^ Glad you liked it Aconcit. I recognised quite afew of them, the Rivaldo dive is the most unforgivable one of the lot. Honestly, I remember watching that as it happened, the ball hit his shin/upper thigh and he crumbled to the ground as if he was shot to head. The tragic thing is this happens ALL THE TIME. Some leagues aren't as bad as the others, but it still pisses me off when I see it. It paints a pretty crappy image of the game. Imagine watching a 12-13 stone athlete tumbling to ground after receiving a knock that can only be described as feather touch. When on the ground, they squirm and roll about in agony because they fractured an eyelash. Next, they get up, hobble and limp around abit to gain some sympathy, and before you know it, they're sprinting around the place as if there was nothing wrong earlier. Cheating tits.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
What a pity... but of course... Inter was the better team. But it has been a great season for Bayern with van Gaal. I really appreciate his work and I liked how he had turned a lot of newbies into pro's. Whatever, we got our double and I can't wait for the next season. Now World Cup is coming up!

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Well, as I said, World Cup is coming up. And I can't hardly wait for it. Still some days to go. Here is a good schedule. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_ ... p_scheduleWhat do you think... who will win the WC? I think Netherlands, Argentina and Brazil have good chances for winning it. I also think that Ivory Coast could be a surprise for this tournament.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I think Argentina are too unpredictable with Maradona at the helm to win. Plus he said he'd run around Buenos Aires naked if they won Spain or Brazil to win for me. I think England is a bit of a pipe dream, we're just not at that level. Yeah yeah, very patriotic of me But really, i can see Spain making the final but then choking... so yeah, that makes it Brazil. Surprise package will be... Paraguay or North Korea. Surprise failure will be... France, but that might not be such a surprise. So Portugal to miserably fail

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Spain look like they have the best team, they're considered the favourites, but I just have a feeling they'll come up against a stubborn defensive team such as Italy and fall short. England will probably reach the quarter finals and come up against a superior team such as Spain or Brazil and get knocked out. Argentina have a strong team but they were so inconsistant in the qualifying rounds since Maradona took over, I just have no idea how they'll do. I wouldn't be surprised if Brazil win it tbh. Gary Linegar said that Spain and Brazil will be favourites, but there are a group of teams including England, Netherlands, Italy ect, that have a chance of winning it. And he knows a thing or two about football.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
Uh . . . I was looking forward to the World Cup. Then I realized that it goes for about 3 weeks and found out that my bf is so obsessed with it, he doesn't want to miss a minute of it . . .
He's become friends with an eccentric old Italian guy who has a pizza shop down the road. So they're going to watch it together during the hours that the shop is open. Then my bf will come home and stay up all night watching it. At least he's started saying he'll move the tv into the lounge room . . .
But, yeah, I'll be what people apparently call a "World Cup widow". Sounds like a good time to get out and meet people who don't want to spend ALL their free time for 3 weeks watching football.
But I do want to see some of it. Guess I'll watch the matches with countries that interest me, and the final part.

 Re: Football (Soccer)
I once saw a porno where the basis was that the girls were World Cup widows Seriously though, my forum activity is going to be more limited for the next month. In 90 minute portions I think it's 3 games a day roughly, at least 'til the knockout stages, so yeah.

Yeah, I won't be much here on HC, too. Btw. there is voodoo in this tournament. Lots of injured important players. I feel kinda sorry for them...
