1. Talking on the phone. With anyone. Period. My phone rang 5 times in half an hour today. Ask me how I feel.
2. Talking with hypochondriacs. My mom is one, and she has something new wrong all the time.
3. Being around fighting/arguing people. I usually end up playing the easygoing person and distracting fighters. I spent 20 years listening to my parents fight endlessly and it makes me really anxious.
4. Being around parents that have lost all personality except what relates to their children, or being mistaken for one of these.
5. Talking to long-winded people with no escape in sight.
6. People that ignore the private space I've found during lunch/breaks/etc and sit down and start talking to me, especially when I'm obviously reading or absorbed. This is a serious peev of mine, especially when I have limited time and would REALLY like to read a little of a book, write, etc. I've had this happen too much and it really sucks if I was trying to relax before returning to work.
7. Eating in front of people that are not eating with me, especially if they're trying to hold a conversation with me at the same time.
8. Dealing with people that have no social tact or diplomacy when it comes to differences, whether of culture or opinion. I worked for a commander in Japan like this and I was constantly trying to smooth over her tactless insults to Japanese guests or even other personnel.
9. Babysitting other people's kids. I don't have the best empathy, especially with kids, and while I'll keep them safe and out of harm's way, I can't connect with them at all, and they can sense it. I have more meaningful interactions with pets, honestly.
10. "Tell me about yourself" questions or interviews. I hate selling myself or anything else. I couldn't sell a coat to a naked man in subzero weather. Dealing with salespeople bugs me too.
11. Being stereotyped or stereotype jokes. Lots of people take me at classic stereotype value and seem shocked/entertained when I'm completely different than what they expect.

Making a appointments of any kind, waiting, anything to do with finding a job, the phone...I tend to let it ring most of the time.

a few work related ones

- when total strangers look for sympathy from me at work. there's a woman who is going through chemo and tells everyone she can all about her cancer. i really don't comprehend why she's looking for sympathy form people who work in the donut shop she sees maybe once a month. i don't comprehend why one would degrade such a serious situation by looking for pity from people who wouldn't know if she died tomorrow. if she never came in again i doubt anyone would notice. i hate how much of an ass i look like because i don't have drug out pity party conversations with her.

- when people can see i have heaps of work to do and then try to chit chat for long periods of time about nothing in general. the last time this happened a woman thought that she was rude to me and said i didn't want to talk because i'm not a morning person, then told everyone else i worked with about my attitude problem and made this huge deal out of it. it's not about her or me, it's about me being paid to work and having lots of work to do as the sole opener.

- when i have to tell other employees basic common sense things they know already. there was a guy last week who helped out at our location since our manager took a vacation who is the type of person that will try to get away with anything if they can. having to tell someone to wash thier hands after they cough in them, or not to eat on the floor, or that the chairs to sit in need to stay in the backroom are things that wear my patience quickly.

- when people order things and have no clue what it is then attempt to correct me. a latte does not have vanilla creamer in it. EVER.

I hate most social situations but meeting a friend of a friend has to be the worst.

Telephone and in person interaction.

I hate the phone because its annoying, its loud and disrupts my train of thought. When I answer it then its always someone who wants to take up a crazy amount of time talking about pointless crap, and for some reason I feel bad if I just hang up on them.

In person because of the same reason, just even more so. I feel trapped and when I see a way out of the situation I will usually take it.

I enjoy interaction over the internet, with the exception of webcams (which I dont have one for this reason). If someone is annoying me I can always hit the X on the top right hand corner of the window and they will go away. I like email, I can put as much thought into what I write, and how I respond, as I want.

The top situations I dislike will have to be:
-School bus as they all stare at me since i'm the only yr 13 student on it
- When the girl I really like is sitting behind me in class, but I'm so much of a pussy I can't even mount the courage to talk to her
- And speaking in front of the class.

1. Talking on the phone, especially with strangers and especially if I have to ask for a favour like getting a tradesman to come around and fix something..

2. Being around fighting/arguing people. Also getting yelled at. My fiance's mum does that sometimes and I really don't like it!

3. Dealing with rude service in shops etc. Mind you, I have got good at writing letters to the manager complaining about the rude service and I have got some apologies as a result

6. "Tell me about yourself" questions or interviews. I hate selling myself or anything else. Surely I would have included enough in my job application for them to get an idea of who I am?

7. Dealing with rude and bossy people butting in when I am chatting to another person. I never know when to go and when to stay.

8. Noisy shopping centres and people who won't take their screaming kids outside seriously stress me out and cause much anxiety.

9. Anything involving dancing or sports in public. I get very embarrassed and anxious.

I used to have extreme fear of even asking for directions, making phonecalls or buying something in a store/eating at a restaurant etc... It became less and less though and the only situations I find really stressful now are sitting in a group/ring/around a table and introducing oneself one by one. Luckily those situations are mostly for school or work, and I have neither.

Hmmmm....


-I hate eating in front of others. It makes me feel like a fatty even when people scarf things down next to me.

-Lots of people such as parties and etc. Unless I am so far gone that I don't have any inhibitions left.

-I am an introvert by nature. When people pressure me or I feel pressured to speak, everything turns to hell.

-Waiting for anything. I am very impatient and look like a crack head because I am so fidgety.


Whenever I have someone to talk to who is important, I will talk to them. Things like job interviews, finding locations, etc. However, if it is interpersonal conversation, I usually try to avoid it.

-I hate eating in front of people as well.
-Talking on the phone. I just can't do it without embarrassing myself completely.
-Being around drunk people or anyone doing drugs. I don't drink.
-Typical parties where I don't know anyone. LAN parties and parties with people I know are acceptable, haha I'm a dork.
-Being introduced to new people and/or having to make small talk with people I don't know.
-Having to join groups to work on a project (well that happened a lot when I was still in high school).
-Shopping anywhere where there's lots of people. HATE the mall with a passion.
-Ugh, hate overly pushy salespeople that try to make you buy stuff.

Being at someone else's house is the worst to me. That's when I'm most uncomfortable.

I hate my birthday. It would be ok if no one acknowledged the fact that it was my birthday when it is. It's wierd because I have no one to invite exept my parents and sister. And the part when they bring out the cake and sing makes me wanna crawl in a hole and burry my face in kittens.

I hate saying bye to people after being with them for some time. Like saying bye to close friends after shopping or so... I just hate the 'last eyecontact'.

I hate being in groups. I always get paranoid that I'm being excluded.

I hate bumping in to people whom I know on the streets. I hate hate hate it. I become nervous and anxious and overwhelmed then, even if they are friends.

Any social situation in which I'm expected to do something in certain way.

I hate crowded places, I get really pissed off and stressed out. Especially when people keep bumping into me or rubbing against me.

I hate social situations where I'm the centre of attention. Like when relatives that I haven't seen for a while come to visit, and they come to talk to me it's always really awkward. Awhile back I was forced into going to my cousins graduation party, I was really worried about it before hand but when I got there all the attention was on him, nobody really talked to me or anything. So it ended up being a relatively nonstressful event.

Extended family gatherings flike weddings and Lunar New Year reunion dinners. Their incessant questions about school and my personal life annoy me to the core.

I was gonna make my own post, but why bother now, you already said what I was going to!

When I'm expected to do something, it's really anxiety attack-ish for me. Especially if they expect me to start conversation, be funny, be normal, prove something, etc. But it's too much work, so I just kind of not do anything!
