 Re: Dub vs Sub
For the most part subs are best... but there are tons of great dubbed series these days:
Melancholy, Death Note, Soul Eater, Lucky Star, Ouran Host Club, Azumanga, NHK, Beck, D. Gray Man
Sometimes it's nice to watch a series and surf the web at the same time... in that case it's a huge inconvenience to read subs.
My favorite DUB voice actors are Wendee Lee and Greg Ayres - Who are your favs???

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Dubbed!
I can't stand sub.. I'm sorry, but If I spend 90% of the time reading... then I can't be watching. I can't do both. and reading for long periods of time.. gives me headaches.. I know.. my dad ( back when I use to see him ) was married to a deaf women before.. so things always had to be watched with captions.
For the most part, anime's I've seen, the dubs aren't bad. Love Hina was bad dubbed though... but I still prefer a bad dub over sub.

 Re: Dub vs Sub
SUBs!!!I f cking hate dubs. Yeah, there are good ones out there, but: 1. Mostly they use the same voice actors, with their distinctive voices. 2. Yay! Censorship! cut-Out scenes (Half of "DB GT" was cut-out, many episodes wasn't even shown) editet pictures (In "Naruto" they have only black or bright blue blood) modified content (In "He is my Master" they changed the age of all people, 14y/o -> 17y/o) 3. Mistranslation (Sometimes even on purpose) 4. Name changes (All this is from the german dubs)I'am a calm person, but those things can make me RAGE! BTW: The same goes for foreign movies.

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Subs, definitely. I don't have anything to add I guess, I agree with most people in this thread.

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Agreed agreed. ^ I can enjoy some dubs but not when every voice actor uses the same stereotypical voice for every character. I think it goes for any type of show/movie, voice actors will sound better when they work with the original team (as long as the hired actors are good).

 Re: Dub vs Sub
But yeah, I prefer subtitles too. Very rarely will I enjoy (or god forbid PREFER) a dub. Lupin dubs don't bother me much and I'm more accustomed to Lupin III in dubs (despite seeing most of it in subs) than with subtitles. Sometimes it's done right, sometimes studios just screw it up. Man, fuck Steve Blum.

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Subs, mostly.
Though some dubs hold a warm place in my heart still. Especially the dub of Yu-Gi-Oh, man, those voices were so lultastically bad.

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Subs all the way (Then again, the only comparation i experienced is with EVA and it's hilariously bad English Dub of Evil)

 Re: Dub vs Sub
Generally subs but occasionally dubs come out good. Bad dubs make it painful to watch.
