But how would the program/machine recognize the characters? anyway i think somewhere on the site it comments how the program works, but i'm not sure :unsure.

It wouldn't do so consciously, however, in most cases different characters have different styles of speech(or "register") ; A puerile character should have a puerile manner of speech just like an academic should have a wise manner of speech. I wonder if that has any effect on the scores, because not all characters speak the same.

I suppose it might end up "registering" characters (not only for speech but i think also for actions) and i suppose that certain writers had preferences for certain characters, if it could register i'm pretty sure it would have an effect.

Yeah, some characters are actually modeled upon the personality of the author. Such as "Joseph K" on Fanz Kafka's "The Trial", Franz Kafka is one of my favorite authors. :thumbsup

Well, maybe you should. I thought his fiction was quite witty and sophisticated.

This, now, makes your writing awesome.

You should post some of it in the Writing fragments thread if you haven't yet! :thumbsup

(or somewhere in the Writing Board, also if you prefer it)

My writing's not that great actually. It may have been in the past, but it's been in gradual, yet steady decline for a while now :P Basically gone to shit I feel.
I used to write poems, but not anymore. I probably have them around somewhere, but I have an inkling that they are likely to be every so slightly cringeworthy.

Hmm, i don't want to be mean or anything by this, and i really do mean it: Honestly, i don't think writing skill can fecline or get worse, maybe get a bit "rusty" or at least seem like it, but i don't think it "declines".

Anyway, i think it would be nice to see them (i think a writer always consider his works to be cringeworthy lol), but just take things at your rythm and preference :thumbsup.

Also, scarface, do you read some works of Chuck Palahniuk?

Nope, I haven't read any of his works. I watched fight club though (twice) and I liked it.

You really should read them, his works are very interesting and very idealistic/romanticistic in a way, aside from his unique style :thumbsup.

Enough retarded monkeys in front of typewriters for a long enough period of time and they'll write the Twilight saga. This doesn't disprove your point.
