Post Heavy metal lovers?
Any one love that old school, straight gritty, bluesy heavy metal? Not thrash metal, or power metal, or screemo, or symphonic or any other variation, just that original heavy metal. Not that there is anything wrong with those genres, just the term "heavy metal" gets thrown around a lot. I'm talking about Zeppelin, Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc...

What are you're favourite Heavy Metal songs?

I don't know. I know there's heavy metal touhou that I like, but I have no idea what's 'heavy metal' and what's some other variation of metal.

Does this count?

Wow that sounds actually really good, but no thats sounds more like thrash metal.
Something like this

War Pigs- Black Sabbath

or Good times, Bad times

I guess you can define heavy metal more as A crunchy distortion on guitars, heavy sounding riffs but moderate tempo drums, and you can really here blues influence. I dunno, I guess you can;t really define a whole genre really haha. But yea, something similar sounding to the 2 I posted.

You'd be surprised how much badass can pop up in a game about little girls.

Crunchy distortion on guitars? I don't think I understand.

I'm a early days Black Sabbath junkie.

Probably got something to do with Geezer Butler being my main influence as being a bassist.

I don't too much care about sub-genre-ing anymore. After a while, once you come full circle, it all becomes relatively the same thing. Also, I live in North Florida, probably about 40 minutes away from the Georgia boarder. Here, in the middle of the Bible Belt, hardly anyone around my age touches black metal, or even death metal, really. It mostly just sticks to hardcore/metalcore. *sigh* You'd think a town with the state capital academy of music in it would be a bit more in variety, but it doesn't, sadly...It's funny, actually. I can go to the Academy of Music library (which is it's own seperate building) and look up information on literally anything and any subgenre. Believe me, they've got the information there. It's just something that still lies rather dormant/kinda underground-ish here.

Yea early black Sabbath was kick ass, and Geezer Butler is great. He's no JPJ though :P I'm not really into hardcore/metalcore or black or death metal....a bit too extreme.

I can´t stand most Black Metal / Hardcore / Metalcore for that reason, it usually consists of a bunch of monkeys trying to be badass when really there´s nothing scary or badass about them. Death Metal is nice if you listen to the right stuff, and I´m sure that goes for the other genres that were mentioned, but I rarely come across music I enjoy in these genres.
