 Books with reclusive themes.
What are some books with reclusive/hikikomori/introvert themes? I can't think of one other than the obvious.
Well I suppose "The Outsider" and "Pickman's Model" and "The Picture in the House" all by Lovecraft have those themes but it's not quite what I had in mind.
Anyways it could make for a useful topic having a list of recluse themed books members have read, considering we're HikiCulture.

Thus Spoke Zarathustra (is that an obvious one? idk) Nausea (Sartre) although that's not specifically about introversion.. introspection maybe. hmmm I'll add more when I think of more I suppose.

I am interested in this myself, but I do not know any books reclusive themes. I know that a book on this film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_X where to download or buy, and which languages do not know. Movies easier to find something on this subject.

Parasites Ryū Murakami. I personally do not recommend to anyone. It can be a great disappointment to many people.

'I never promised you a rose-garden' - I just red the german version. It's about a shizophrean girl, but there's a reclusive girl in, too.

 Re: Books with reclusive themes.
No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai is a book that most on here could probably identify with. The protagonist is a man is so fundamentally ashamed of himself that he is unable to relate to other people who engages in a long string of self-destructive activities. It's kind of depressing how much I relate to the main character, ha.
