Well that's ambitious. . I love it. If you're serious about being the world's first to reach level 60, I'm on board.

I had no idea the apocalypse included nazi zombie robot dinosaurs, but it's no reason to worry because my level IRL is over 9000. Okay not really but I think I'll be okay because I'm commencing immediate study into nazi zombie robot dinosaur repellent. I'll give you all a can of it for 3 pesos when I'm done.

As for the question of if I'm reclusive, well basically yes. But it's not something that bothers me. I spend all my time on games and sell gold and characters on WoW for money, and the only times I go outside are for either food or gaming conventions. Speaking of MMO's I'll be switching to Guild Wars 2 when that's out, so if anyone wants to join me I'd be more than happy to play with you.

And finally, D2! There's going to be another ladder reset on the 25th of this month if anyone wants to join me there as well. Hardcore of course!

@Noth - Ambitious it is. Although I won't be too bummed if I don't actually make it. Either way, I'll be one of the first and that's fine with me. Racing to the top, and gearing up before most people in a new online game is something I love to do. BTW that avatar is really nice, where is that from?

Ah alright, just curious as this was your first post. I'd be up for some Diablo 3 sometime if it weren't for Blizzard being merged with Activision. I think I'll get Torchlight II instead.

Don't let not being the first to reach lvl 60 bum you out one bit, if you're not. I'm sure there's going to be big corporations (likely of the Asian sort) sponsoring players to get there first. That's why it would be so cool to make it as an indie job. Shit, I'm certain I could generate serious marketing revenue from that. Easy.

I'd love to get behind such a bold initiative. I could focus on a single skill-set -- electricity, for example -- and just own players who are playing it safe and leveling multiple skill-sets (likely most).

You'll need more help than one or two players in the beginning. I would get organizing now.

well i'll join in if i get a new computer by the time d3 comes out and we're still alive by then. i wanna play the monk class pretty badly, plus female monks are very sexy not too crazy about the real money auction thing though....

I do have one other person who's coming along. We often play together and almost made world first to 50 in Aion on the western servers (was out in japan before it got to us) with the help of 1 other, but were beat by just a few levels. The ones that made it were 'Drno' and 'Almisaela'. They had a bigger group than ours at the beginning, but ended up by themselves at around lvl 45. But by that time they were already around 5 lvls ahead of us and they made it to 50 with our group close behind at 46. It was no problem though we all had a lot of fun.

Thankfully for us the max party size in D3 is low (4 players) so finding others shouldn't be that big of a deal and we won't have to worry about losing just because we're outnumbered.

Max. party size? No doubt there's ways around that. I don't wish to be in the official party if it's a max. of four. Hypothetically, if it starts on my first day off of three, if I'm working four ten hour shifts a week, at that time, I'd love to give it all for the first seventy-two. . And so on if I can keep up, considering the other essentials in my schedule.

Do you play StarCraft II? I've beat a few of the top North American players.

I don't understand exactly what you mean noth. What I meant was that in D3 you can only have 4 people playing in one game. Like in D2 it was 8 but they've lowered it to 4 per game for various reasons.

SC2- I've tried... I really have. I just can't handle getting owned over and over and the game itself doesn't interest me enough to put everything I have into it in order to learn how to play. Huge kudos to those who are good at that game though.. It takes real skill for sure.

I mean, you can't really limit the amount of people aiding you in an MMO...? Back in the Diablo II days it was pretty much FFA - at least the way I played. I don't remember if there was friendly fire between party members... Maybe that's what you mean? I just remember being solo and joining and leaving parties as I pleased.

Yeah well, anything to support my 'not having to go anywhere' lifestyle works for me.

I was planning to look for a similar group closer to release. World first to cap isn't important to me, but I'll surely have the time. Message me if you still need another.

On another note, I have a beta account that the rest of the group could borrow to familiarize themselves with UI and the first hour of the game.

Monk .. then probably Witch Doctor. Wasn't that excited about the Witch Doctor before playing the beta but it was much more fun than I had anticipated. Barbarian was the biggest let down, I found, but I think with some +attack speed% I might start appreciating the class a little more.

Wizard. I'm going home for three days starting on the day it comes out, , but I'll be back, with the game, ready to go, for the 18th, . If my new computer is here by that time. Better be.

Why you no play, Conci?

I guess there's three reasons:
1) My gaming laptop died and I'm broke
2) I have a thing against Blizzard's partner Activision. I could probably break this pact without feeling guilty, but I'm pretty set on not being that person who complains about big cooperation yet still buys their products.
3) I can't stay committed to video games these days, I can't get into them anymore really. All I ever feel like playing is short bursts of Shmupping and older games.

Maybe I'll play sometime in the future when I can resolve these three reasons somehow.
