Ah...I'm sort of late to the game...but I hope I can get into the flow of it yet.

Name: Memento
Age: Young to middling, could be anywhere from 20 to 35
Gender: Female-ish
Appearance: A slouching girl in a careworn black sweatshirt and a badly repaired multi-colored skirt. Jump boots with rainbow laces. The hood on the sweatshirt is usually up, so little is visible of her face other than a few hunks of hair, the end of a cigarette, and the shine off of large glasses. Has a large, beat-up bag on her at all times.
History: She drifts in and out of HC with varying degrees of enthusiasm, sometimes constantly in the General area, scoping things out, other times buried in the depths of Books, lost in the stacks, hidden from all but the most determined of bibliophiles.
Personality: Generally friendly, but easily panicked. Loves a good story and is always willing to hear what you have to say so she can add your history to her files. Has Church-of-Waifu levels of obsession, but is too lost in the print world to brave the bright lights and action of Vidya.
Abilties: Possesses three items of power, though it's unknown what cost exactly she paid to have them.
♦ One Bag of Holding, out of which she can produce, with a bit of digging, nearly any yaoi manga ever printed. Or she can nearly always scrounge up a cigarette, though she seems to have problems keeping track of lighters. Or any variety of pills, most of them with highly sedative properties. It's largely unknown what's all in there. However, should anyone other than her attempt to pull an item out of the Bag of Holding, they're likely to lose a few fingers, at best.
♦ One Notebook of Writing, said to turn anyone unfortunate enough to read more than three words of it into a mindless fujoshi.
♦ A large navy-colored book labeled "THANATOS". It's unknown exactly what's in it, as she won't let anyone else touch it, but she's nearly always leafing through it. The only practical use it seems to have is the sporadic ability to produce blue-green flames if it's talked at long enough about justice. When a cheap Bic can't be found, usually the book is good for a light.

for Memento. I'll begin writing summaries and a character list, as well as posting. This is gonna be badass.

Name: Deafmute (This is a Pseudonym)
Age: 22
Appearance: An average looking young lad dressed in tattered robes and a bucket hat (aka "fisherman's" hat). He carries a crescent headed staff with a strange red sphere that floats in the space within the crescent head of the staff.

History: Much of his history is a mystery, even to himself. It is said that he had been versed in dark magics, but something had gone wrong in one of his experiments and he had barely escaped alive. His memory of that event and all knowledge of said magics were lost to him. All that was left was his old staff which he can't quite seem to figure out what purpose it had served him, but kept it anyways as a reminder of his former life. It also proved useful as a walking stick for the long road ahead. The only other object that had been intact after the catastrophe was a pitch black eggshell that radiated heat. He decided to keep that simply as a convenient heat source for the cold nights on his journey. From then on, he called himself Deafmute.

Personality: He doesn't really have much of a personality after the incident... He seems to be detached from the rest of the world, cursing his own misfortunes and spitefully disregarding the lives of those around him.

Abilities: So far in his journey to rediscover his past, he had learned that he was once a pupil at a faraway school for those who were born with an affinity for magic. He traveled there but upon arriving, he was quickly dismissed since he had apparently been banished from that place for having attempted to use such dark magic. However, one student who witnessed him being turned away felt sorry for him and decided to tutor him in secret. Deafmute was taught spells such as how to cast a fireball, call forth lightning and launch sharp lances of ice. Of course he also learned how to conjure food and water so that would guarantee that he wouldn't die of starvation during a particularly long journey. He seemed to learn really quickly too, these spells which took years to master according to the student were completely understood after only a few days of training and somehow they seemed to be more powerful when cast by Deafmute, perhaps his staff was able to amplify his spells and if so, did it have other unknown effects as well? Regardless, he left soon after and half-heartedly thanked the kind student for his time, paying him generously with most of the money he owned.

Name: Null Nichiren - usually goes by Null
Age: Unknown

Gender: Male in appearance, traits and biochemistry but possessing no genitalia because he has what humans would consider the YY sex chromosome pattern.

Appearance: Golden skinned, black eyed, dark haired man of what appears to be a mix of spanish and african ancestry. Tall and well built due to his addiction to calisthenics, weight lifting, yoga and martial arts.

History: Wandering in the normal world with no purpose, he seeks to experience to expreience a little freedom before he chooses to go to sleep near the Antarctic entrance to Agartha. Possible descendant of Agarthans(sub Nephilim) who was lost when his blood parents were chased away by humans from their tour of the land earth cities.

Personality: Apathetic mainly. Depressed as well . Fiercely loyal and protective of those he considers worthy of trust. Pacifistic and disliking all conflict unless defending self or worthy ones or secondary personality , Nihil, asserts itself. Nihil is null's feral form. Comes out in short bursts and can be diminished by soothing music, running water, blowing wind of a certain flow, and a whisper by a humanoid female close in relation to the earth's variety of species.
Secretive, shy and very quiet but his inner energy seems to draw people to him.

Abilities: Physical and mental attributes intensified by him possessing a triplet helix pattern in his DNA giving him 138 chromosomes instead of 46. Normally talented as any human who has mastered different types of physical and mental disciplines but for short periods this power can intensify up to a factor of nine. Longest duration is 81 minutes and Null needs 9 days of total rest afterwards to fully recover or he might be crippled fully.

Eidetic memory and enhanced learning ability and can control any machine with his mind by just focusing on it.
Smell, taste, touch, hearing, sight, and sixth sense is enhanced more than human mystics/magic users/internal martial arts masters but dulled by 50% from growing up in the human world.

Null lacks communications skills in large part. Almost totally unable to interpet body language or emotional states so many times offends without trying. Because of way his brain works his vocabulary is limited to mostly simple and direct sentences with monosyllabic words. Also anyone showing Null physical affection may incpacitate him for a few minutes as his brain decides whether things are a threat or not. He usually will run and hide after this type of thing.

Been a long time since I've actually written creatively and within a ranging storyline.
Seems fun though.

I don't know if this applies for you but in my case when i do put myself to start writing, after a few seconds i don't even notice, and then it's all written, i guess what i mean is, to me the big deal is not the writing in itself, but in getting there and start writing (or to put it another way, to get the will to write)

Also, just for curiosity, i just wanted to ask deafmute, in your latest post, the guy in the boxes is Vincent (my character), right? Just wanted to make sure although i think he is.
