I get recurring dreams where I'm put in the position of interacting with a group of people, there is usually a cute girl who I feel attracted to. In the dreams I am quiet and anxious and I sense the discomfort of the others building up.
The girl starts off by flirting with me but ends up going for one of the other guys, I end up as an awkward third wheel until either they or I find a way to ditch.
I've gotten these dreams multiple times a week for a long time.

I commonly feel separation anxiety as a recurring theme in the dreams that I have of late. Things are always happening, that I'm aware about and concern me and the people I know, without my slightest involvement in them and I feel disconcerted by my inability to make the slightest alteration to them. Meanwhile, I get swept along dreaming about a load of senseless shit that I can't make head nor tails of and that refuses to be properly recollected after I wake. It's as though somebody else gets to control my imagination whilst I'm sleeping.

I used to have recurring dreams of being in hell, or suddenly being in the entrance to hell (it's on my house), or going around being like Dante (DMC) in either Hell or a sort of dark/punk-gothic post-apocalyptic world (Kind of like DMC).

I have a few recurring dreams, or dreams with a recurring theme in general:

- Insect dreams, mostly spiders, cockroaches, praying mantis, sometimes they're in really giant size, sometimes the dream is set in a tunnel or cave with lots of them, and they'd crawl on my neck, or I walk around barefoot, most of the time I was forced to kill the bigger ones barehands.

- Smoking dreams, a lot of time I'd be smoking in my dream, I don't smoke, but I think I've always had to urge to.

- School dreams, it's always the same, I'd worry about my class schedule, count how many days I've skipped, trying to remember the homework I have, and the worst of all I'd worry about my age and how I'm failing my classes by not going, it's one of those "you'll be stuck in repeating this same school year again", worrying about having to go change my classes because they were incorrect, etc.

- Being a female, seems to go hand to hand with the smoking dreams, I seem to dream of myself as a female every once in a while, they were the most memorable because I'm a different person there, I would be sitting with a crowd of friends I don't know, smoking and drinking at a restaurant, acting with different mannerism.
