starting a thread on 07th expansion, let's talk about their characters, sound novels, animes, games, and mangas. i've played, read and watched all their works, but my favourite series and character has to be unineko and bern/rika . currently reading higanbana no saku yoru ni cause the sound novel is coming out soon. anyone else excited as i am ?

Ohh, I didn't know they made so much stuff. =o I've only played some of Higurashi DS and Umineko, and watched all the Higurashi anime. I haven't seen Bern yet... But, so far, I loooove Beatrice. I really do need to get to finishing those... Right now I'm in my video game phase (different from my visual novel phase xD *shot*) so I haven't been reading those much...

Those are images of their new game, right? I saw them on a blog somewhere, though ill have to look in them again. Also, that first picture. I wonder if anyone knows the name of those flowers! They are my favorite kinds.

Im also only familiar with Higurashi and Umineko, though if im able to get a hold of some more from them, i would be happy to give them a try. I have alot of favorites from Umineko, but Beato is my number 1 favorite! (Loved her the first time i saw her) I knew they had alot of stories, but its about time i try to catch up!

I love 07's writing style, it is really amazing how they describe a whole complicatd story, I really look up to them.

also I should have given a little warning first, because higanbana is surprisingly darker compared to other 07th expansion's works. the story is about Moriya Marie and she's being constantly tormented by her classmates and regularly molested by her teacher. of course this is just the beginning, and only at two volumes, the story only gets worst.... quite a depression plot i sure can't wait for the sound novel, which is coming out next month on the 13th.

Oh ya! Thank you so much! Also, your just several hours too late on ya warning! but thank you. It is alot darker, which i didn't expect! But I really like it too so I know ima stick with it!

ahh, my bad! Only reason that slipped my mind was that it has the all elements that every 07th expansion story needs(murders, mystery and magic). i feel that the hinanbana's novel won't be as dark as the manga. In the other sound novels you dont see much of the actual murders and gore, only text describing what's happening. so considering you get a front row seat to watch the whole thing in the manga, it is more graphic compared to the sound novels.

Also good news for higurashi fans, to celebrate higurashi's the 10th anniversary, they made the new OVA Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira! i watched the first episode which came out just couple days ago, and it was good. I especially liked that rika

Heheh. Your ok! I really do like reading the manga. I love how they draw those intense scenes. Its really makes me feel the "madness" of the characters. Thanks for the previews and reminding me of Kira! Ima watch ep 1 right now!
