Not really "news", but check out this Tumblr blog.

As you can see, a guy stole this guy's MacBook and thanks to the help of an app called Hidden he was able to take snapshots of the bandit using his laptop and took screen-shots as well. lol

haha, nice. i have a similar app on mine called iSight

there was a story in vancouver about a year ago where a guy stole a bunch of macbooks from a business and they were able to identify him by his tattoo (via his tattoo artist) because one of the the computer's webcam was still broadcasting
