 Re: Programming section?
Isn't the computer section suitable...?

 Re: Programming section?
It's a cool idea and I'd use it but perhaps a single topic for programming help would be enough. I've rarely seen discussions that delves into the actual process of programming rather than people saying that they are coding.

 Re: Programming section?
Perhaps a 'stickied' thread in the computers section is a good compromise. ...... although stackoverflow is really a better place to go for informational purposes. hikiculture is more about /not/ doing stuff.

 Re: Programming section?
I don't really agree with the bolded line. I try to encourage people to do stuff when I can. I like to believe many of the people who come are wanting some sense of "normalcy". I tend to agree that a topic(or perhaps topics, as there are many programming languages) should suffice.

 Re: Programming section?
I think it was a joke, Quasar I would lurk over a programming thread. I haven't actually done any coding myself in years, though.

 Re: Programming section?
I created a Programming subforum in Computers. But bear in mind that posts and threads made in this subforum, like posts and threads made in the Non-English board, won't show up in the View Active Topics list. This is because the topic has relatively little appeal and few people will want to see programming-related posts and threads in that list. So be sure to periodically check the board for new posts/topics rather than relying on the View Active Topics list. Click here to visit the Programming subforum. Enjoy.
