Has anyone else tried this game? It is one of those cheap $10 indie games on steam.

To steal the title of a review, it is Metroidvania + Minecraft. I think I like it more than minecraft because it is 2-D. There also appears to be more monsters in this game.

I have not really sure what else I can say. It is a neat concept. I have basically been running around digging tunnels. However, I have heard that if you build houses, NPCs come to live in them. There are also apparently bosses that you can kill. I also like how grass grows on the dirt. If there is a ledge vines will grow over time. The vines also inhibit light. So if you have a torch running through vines will limit your vision.

Anyway, I am enjoying it. Has anyone else tried it?

yeah, its nice. deepest ive been to is only 700 though.

O.O You can see how far down you can go? How do you do that? I have been too focused on building my castle and digging tunnels and not dying to notice.

I'm thinking about getting this game after watching some footage. It seems to be one of the hits in indie gaming discussion lately.

theres a depth meter that you can make. cant remember how i made it though. anyway at the mopment i got as far as the underworld or something. 1400+ down? but this is a small world. gonna make a hell pickaxe thing soon

Yes I need to get a better pickaxe. Using an iron one has made me impatient. A problem I have is my mind only lets me play in couple hour bursts. So I tend to forget stuff... not to mention I have ADD... and cannot focus on a task like digging into hell. >.> I need to make some lava death traps..
