Can't wait to try the Koss headphones out.

I got those in the mail today. They sound surprisingly good.

I still want to get the M50s that Rezu got, but these Portapros will serve me well for the time being.

That's great. I won't be getting mine til middle of May though >_<

I wanted to try out the Seinnhiser PXC series, but it's too experience. I haven't tried the brand yet, so I'll give it a go.

In the past, I've just used earphones provided to me by my brother (ie: I took without asking XD). There was the Sony brand that was pretty rocking. Hurt my ears after a while, but it had some great noise-canceling technology.

I'm currently using those generic apple earphones, which are a lot better than the ones I used to own, but still not that great. They're alright. I don't want my poor ears to be anymore damaged so I'm planning to switch over to the good old fashion headphones.

The ATH-M50's are great, but I can literally hear my heartbeat when I'm wearing and not listening to anything.

It's a little...annoying. I heard someone else complain about it too. I'm not sure why it is. They definitely have a lot of clamping force, but it's not uncomfortable. On the contrary, they're extremely comfortable - I was worried they weren't going to be, but so far I'm extremely satisfied. It's just I've never had a pair of headphones do this to me before. >>

But why wear them when you aren't listening to anything? :P

I have no speakers, so I just wear them when I'm generally browsing the internet because I'm too lazy to keep putting them on and taking them off.

Why don't you put them around your neck? That's what I do when wearing headphones and not listening to anything for a while.

My left ear always hurts (yes - just my left ear and this happens with all headphones I've ever used) after a while when listening to music on phones, so I tend to do that quite often to prevent my ear from hurting too much.

They choke me a little. To make it comfortable I have to pull the headband out, then to re-adjust them I have to take them of my head anyways, because I'm OCD and if I do it blindly I know I'll have 5-clicks on one side and 4-on the other and I will go insane. >>

I usually just get irritated and take them off. It's not a huge problem, but hearing my heartbeat always kind of freaks me out. I do it a lot when I'm sleeping. =/

Currently these:

I haven't had my Portapros for long, but they've served me well.

I'll be getting these either this year or early next year:

I want neutral, warm-sounding headphones that don't have extremely heavy bass (I've never been much of a bass-head) and work with most genres of music and are: Highly portable, aesthetically-pleasing, reasonably-priced and don't require an amp to work effectively; the ATH-ESW9s fit the bill. They have a list price of $749.95 on Amazon.com but you can find them on many sites for about $200. The only ones you'll find under $200 will be fake and/or used.

They're not very well-known phones, but most people who've used them love them.

Thumbs up to all AT and Koss users in the threeeead~ All my headphones used to be Koss, before I came into a bit of money and could buy the ones above. Gotta support the hometown sound, ya'll...that and the Koss overstock place attached to the factory has hella discounts.

These until last week when the cable broke. Now I'm using older headphones that are too tight and give me a headache. ffs. I never take off my headphones unless I'm sleeping and now my head is swelling up.

i've had the koss portables + extension cord/volume control for several months, almost entirely b/c of this thread. Recently discovered that they're still comfortable with one earpiece folded up. They don't sound as good as the sonys used to, but they didn't cost as much either, and despite how they look, they've turned out to be pretty durable.

Most of y'all are using such nice headphones!
I wish I could save up more money for better headphones. . .inflation is a very bad thing :(

I use Sennheiser HD202, they sound okay and are not very comfortable. I wish I could change into something better.

There's a fairly good chance that I'll be getting Audio Technica M50s soon. But, even if I get the M50s, I'll still be getting the ESW9s eventually.
