most games round up so you can never have zero hp and you need -1 hp to die. :p

It's fine to let animals explode by just touching them. You won't take any damage.

You could have made the life of your friend hell for no reason, told bullies to call her fat and how to make her cry, kill her father in front of her eyes, nuke a city to oblivion, randomly murder, slave people and sell them like shoes, use your friends as giant cargo bags, lie and betray, make someone else die an horrific radiating death for you... But just give some water to hobos and bribe "donate" to churches of dubious religious legitimacy and you're a saint.

You're allowed to wear the same clothes everyday, and only once in awhile get an alternate costume.

Some levels may have a hidden time-counter. If you don't get done within the time-limit you don't know of, you will likely still be able to complete the game, but will never take a glimpse at the glorious bonus stuff you also don't know about.

You always deal less damage than the enemy.

If people like you, a heart within a bubble appears over their head. If not, they don't.

Unless this is some kind of joke that I just didn't get; I disagree.

Although i can't speak for soulless's case, i was thinking of Fallout.

But by the way, i am so sorry if i come out as rude or blunt but interest and curiosity took the best of me, so i can't avoid asking you something:

I think that, previously on your life, you did something similar to that, right? if that is the case, could you tell us (if you don't mind of course) how was your experience with that?

Post Re: Things We've Learned From Video Games
off-topic:
^Reviewing this, it was rather me being rude here, but since I think of curiosity as the very base of learning it shouldn't be looked down on; at least in my opinion that is.
Regarding this, I wasn't talking about specific examples, but more in general about the possible resulting lack of consideration for the other person.
To show an interest is a rather commendable thing, I guess, but for instance, it would for my understanding also be rather inappropriate to keep prying about a topic a person in question itself doesn't feel like talking about.
That's actually all I wanted to add and I hope this unfortunate misunderstanding can hereby be declared as solved. :)

Birds are complete dicks. Don't think for a second that they won't smash their own eggs just to cause you misfortune. I see these things spazzing out when you're trying to ninja your way across a moving train, coughing up rocks to drop on your head, and stealing your damn hat.

Bats are a lesser evil but still annoying.

I have a friend who lives his life like this.

He currently has a severed whale head dissolving in ammonia in his basement. :zip

Before you can safe the world, you first have to do a whole bunch of seemingly meaningless quests to gain experience in order to level up. You'll need many level up's. Finishing optional quests also pays on long-term basis.

Cheating is boring, because you'll only end up with one success. It's much more fun and also satisfying to reach a goal trough continuous effort, since it's the way that is build through a accumulation of many small successes, that matters, not the actual goal.
I guess, this is the meaning of: the goal is the way. :angel

Instead of harrowing and long-term (when not permanent) injuries, bullets just sutract a certain quantity of your HP which you can usually recover by eating something.
