 Re: Anime you want continued Wow, that's an interesting comparison. I still have to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion some day, but for some reason I'm sure I'll like the characters better. And it's not the particular story I have a problem with in Madoka Magica, just the characters and their stories. And I don't see why Soulless would get angry...I just have a tendency to rant about things I don't like...and do like for that matter.

It seems like there would be more but I can't think of any at the moment..

I must say i'm surprised and find it great you found it an interesting comparison, i though it more stupid/for the lulz. You see, in EVA Geeks on crossover couples one of the posters said "ShinjixMadoka" I don't know why, but at the instant i though "i approve of this"  Ever since then i though of some comparations with Eva and the few i knew of Madoka, with Soulless i didn't mean you as much as me, don't know why i said it and sorry, well, to put in a way, Shinji's my favorite character for a reason . Anyway, now i am thinking of how will you feel about the characters if/when you watch EVA  . And by the way, yeah, i'm sure you'll find them interesting at the very least.

Re: Anime you want continued You forget to mention that it takes these characters and breaks them down to the point where they don't even fit their stereotypes anymore. It's less the characters and more like how the characters are completely broken. For an example, take Mami, who is the 'veteran fan service girl' as you put it, her life is only held together by a game of pretend and lies and deceit. Once she realizes this, she goes beserk and rash, killing everyone else and herself in a panic to escape her reality.

Re: Anime you want continued Soulless, that's another part that intrigued me. I have to admit that the creator did a good job at taking away their sanity.
Back on topic, I really want more FLCL. Because of the unstructured plot, and a large area to cover in the theme of the show (growing up, angst) it could have easily been dragged on for a full 24 episodes.

Re: Anime you want continued I just rewatched FLCL.  To me, the last three mentioned, FLCL, Gosick, and Angel Beats, told their stories perfectly and had a good ending so I'm satisfied with them. I just really hate anime that run out and don't fully explain things.

Although I found out recently that Neon Genesis Evangelion was made by the same writer and director so there's something to watch. Speaking of anime that don't explain everything, I'd like to see more Durarara.

Re: Anime you want continued I can't find the article, but Otaku USA had a survey to see what anime people thought deserved another season and Angel Beats and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya were one of the most popular choices. Haruhi I definitely agree with, but it doesn't really matter to me if Angel Beats gets another season. I certainly wouldn't mind if it did, but I thought it had a good ending. There's also Usagi Drop which I think really deserves another season.
@Faust I'm pretty sure Code Geass is getting another season. I think it's going to be with different characters though.

It's nice thinking about...but considering what Sunrise second seasons are usually like...everything I love would most likely be crushed and corrupted. I did want more Prince of Tennis but, lucky me, Shin Prince of Tennis is currently ongoing!
