Although my immediate family is small (I am an only child), my extended family is quite big, but consists mainly of people whom I've never met (including about fifteen cousins). I sometimes whether being an only child played any big role in determining who I have become. With no siblings, I spent most of my childhood following solitary pursuits, and making up my own games. Therefore, I didn't receive the social experiences which are so essential at a formative age.
