I'm looking forward to reaching that magical age at which I cease to give a fuck about anything.

I've made a lot of progress in that direction over the past 10 or 20 years, so maybe it'll come sooner than expected.

What are you planning on doing when you reach 18?

Why the hell are there so many attractive 15 year old girls on this site? Being 18 is pretty lame, honestly. You don't get to do anything but buy cigarettes, and most 18 year olds can't afford them. Everyone says they're going to move out the minute they turn 18, but they don't, and the ones that do usually end up miserable and poor. It just felt like an extension of 17 with the added priveledge of being able to drive past 9.

I'm going to be 20 on...August 20! How exciting! My age shall match the day of the month of my birth! Hoorah. Too bad 20 means nothing. I can't even drink in my own fucking country and I can't afford the plane ticket to Japan. Hell, when I turned 19 I couldn't even go across the border to party since I didn't have a fucking passport. Whatevs, yo. I feel more well-adjusted than I did even two years ago. I like being an adult much better than a teenager.

I'm scared of turning eighteen. My birthday is drawing closer and closer and I'm getting more anxious as the months pass by.

I'm so familiar with that Suedehead. Most of the time I tell no one about my birthday (and I didn't enter it into this site) and hope they and I won't notice and I can pretend to be one year younger a little longer.
I dunno who I'm fooling. My dad was never one for birthday celebrations anyway, at best I'd get a congratulations. I can't really make myself forget the day either. You're still young and pretty though, so don't feel too badly about it... yet.

I personally have come to like the idea of getting older. I feel so much more in tune with reality than when I was a teenager, and I have learned so much since then as well. I can't really think of a bad thing when it comes to aging outside of breaking a hip or something haha.

I started dreading birthdays when I was 11 or 12. That was a good time in my life. I had just started to think more like an adult and it felt like a fresh new start. My parents had finally given me my own radio. And permission to select my own clothes, and do my hair the way I wanted to. I got to have a boyfriend. It was all very exciting.

Then, around the time I turned 13, it all changed. Lost everything but the radio. I wasn't allowed to have friends or pick out my own clothes or anything anymore. So I just holed up in my room to read, write, and listen to music all the time. Sometimes I went out for walks in the woods. Those were the only fun things I was allowed to do.

When I left home, I didn't know how to live like a normal person. It seemed like I was behind everyone else in terms of experience with just about everything. I kept dreading birthdays because I wanted to catch up and make the most of my youth while I still had it. On my 18th birthday, I got drunk on whiskey alone in a candle-lit room while watching the snow fall.

I was 29 when I finally changed my mind and started looking forward to birthdays. I now like the idea of being old, and getting older.

i like getting older too. the older i become the more free life is for me and all the someday maybes i had about the future begin to go from impossible to small chance to it could work. i want the future to hold better opportunities for me and i think that as i age better chances will arrive.

I turned 26 in April and I have no idea where the 1st half of my 20's went. My goal is to not waste away the next few years like I did the past 7 years.

I am officially mid 20s. I turned 25 at the end of June.

I'll enjoy the freedom, but I'm pretty much an adult now. That's fairly depressing in itself.
On top of that I'll be more expected to go and get a job which scares the crap out of me.
