Post TV Heaven, Telly HEEEEEELL!
Incase you don't know by now I am a huge tv addict. As such I have decided to make this thread based on the short lived show hosted by comedian Sean Lock, in which he probes (somewhat) famous faces about their favourite tv shows, and shows which they loath. I'll set the ball rolling.

Tv Heaven: Ultimate Fighter. Let me tell you the basic premise. Two established UFC fighters coach a group of wannabe fighters, each fighting their way through the other competitors trying to win the tournament and with it get an official contract with the UFC. The beauty with this show is the amount of drama and shit that goes on in the house that the contestants share with each other, and often between the two coaches aswell. And as you get to know the guys, the fights become a lot more interesting and seem to have a lot more riding on it. I actually began watching Ultimate Fighter BEFORE I got interested in UFC in general, which I think goes to show just how awesome a reality show it is.

TV Heaven: Spartacus Blood And Sand. The first season ended a month or two ago, but it still sticks with me because I remember just how much I enjoyed it at the time. It's pretty much a tv version of the film 300, in it's graphic novel-ish style, and overall badass... ness. And another thing, on the surface it's just a mindless gore/sex/bad language marathon, but NO, there is actually a story hidden in there. A pretty compelling story too, if you give it time.

Telly Hell: Antiques shows. I know I'm not exactly their target audience, but still I just cannot see the appeal of watching people judge the value of random items. Daytime tv is littered with this crap. Actually come to think of it I might as well put ALL daytime tv as my telly hell, it's that bad. That just reminded me of Loose women. God I loath Loose Women.

I could probably fill this thread all by myself if I had the time, but it's late so I'll leave it there for now.

TV Heaven: Antiques Shows. It's probably my childhood. I could endlessly listen to old people ramble on about anything. My grandma's house is covered in weird old things she has no use for except to display in cabinets. That nostalgia combined with the fact that older gay and eccentric english men are just pure entertainment to me makes day-time antiques shows some of the best TV ever in my eyes. If I only I was awake during the day more..

TV Heaven: Crime shows. I like to figure out who committed the crime and why and I try to find out before the programme ends. I like TV shows that make me think. That's why I also love to watch documentaries.

TV Hell: reality TV shows. I absolutely hate those. I'm really not interested in the life of some rich and famous family. I also can't stand those makeover shows where they use plastic surgery to make people more 'beautiful.'

TV heaven: Sci-fi anthology series (Outer Limits/Twilight Zone-type shows), shows which deal with the paranormal (even if I don't believe what I hear, it can still entertain me and give me a good chill) and good late night shows (I started watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien in the late 90's - haven't really seen any other late night show worth watching, but any late night show other than Jay Leno's is worth watching from time-to-time).

TV hell: Sports, Reality TV, Televangelism, and, well, pretty much everything else that plays on TV. I'm not very fond of TV and have never been very fond of it.

TV Heaven:
UFC. I also like watching UFC because I'm interested in martial arts in general and UFC is as raw and entertaining as it gets. I'm also a fan of a few scifi series: Star Trek Voyager, TNG and Enterprise, Supernatural, Heroes. Crime Dramas are usually good but the only one I really like watching is Criminal Minds because of its focus on the psyche of the criminals (as the title suggests) and I only watch 2 Hospital Dramas: Holby City and House.

TV Hell: Jerry Springer just becuase its so unbelievably barbaric and primitive. It used to be a good help/talk show, not that I have any interest in them, but now its just a mess. Operation Repo because of how fake and utterly stupid it is. I could probably go on all day with the amount of terrible shows there are out there, but those 2 are my main peeves.

TV Heaven: The Walking Dead. It's brilliant. The production is that of a movie not a tv show, the zombies look great, the characters are interesting. I can't speak highly enough of it.

If I'm gone for a week, don't fret HikiCulture.
If I'm gone for a month, it's no big deal.
If six months pass by, something is up.
If I'm gone for a year, assume that I am dead.

TV heaven: my 2 favourite shows (in the longer/ more intense category) would be House and Lost

But for shorter/lighter shows: nothing beats re-watching old Simpsons episodes, but I also really like a lot of comedy shows eg: Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 cats and QI

TV hell: would be any shows with really embarrassing moments which make you cringe

tv heaven (this all depends on what it is exactly. larry the cable guy is telly hell, while david cross is tv heaven)
- stand up comedy specials
- anime
- TCM
- some cooking shows

telly hell is pretty much everything that hasn't been listed. it ranges from mind numbing boredom i get with sports or car shows, to having my intelligence insulted with crap like reality tv, or sitcoms. i despise most adult shows because i find the material patronizing or cheap.

I've recently discovered the TV show called "TV Heaven, Telly Hell" so I get this topic a bit more lol

That show would be part of my TV Heaven as it's great and Sean Lock's probably my favourite comedian
