I wanted to use something that no one would think of to find me here (if they were trying to find me)
plus it brings up millions of search results

Mine is my gamertag that I've used for 11 years. It's my oldest cat's name, and is also a type of thai rice noodle. All my cats are named after noodles :)

I've used FONEternal for about.. 7 years. My AIM screenname on the other hand, Cerberus HM, I've had for about 11 years as well. I got it from Final Fantasy VIII. Kickass game!

Noodles are pretty much one of the greatest foods on the planet. All types of pasta, really. Rice noodles are awesome.

Noriko + Rorikon = Norikon.
のりこ+ろりこん=のりこん

So I basically mixed my name with lolicon, and I thought adding the N was cute.

ditto. I like the stars constellation of orion's belt but I wanted it to change it so it sounded like a Greek philosophers name ( I like philosophy) so this is the final result :closedeyes

It's a funny story. I used a nickname "Elysion" for 4-5 years and everyone started calling me as 'Ely'. My first name used to be Jennina and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE had problems with saying it correctly. Those two combined together caused me changing my first name to Ely and nowadays I use it as my nickname too instead of Elysion. In some places I still use my old nickname, but I've been proud of my new name since I changed it. Nowadays only few people have problems with saying it right :D

Oops, I already changed it back. The joke had worn off on me, and I like it better the old-fashioned way.

But now I know how to mess with other people's usernames! :norikon :laugh

I got the name Datamonger from one of my friends. A while back, I was the person to go to for any software or computer help of any kind. So one of my friends simply said "You are the Datamonger."

Google Chrome's loading thing at the bottom says Resolving Host and when I came here I was on the tired side and caught it out of the corner of my eye. Guess what I thought it said?

Usually I use french names on forums (fachefaucheux, meleemelo, etienne, yves) or just use my actual name spelled backwards, but I felt like changing it up for one.

I chose mementomori because it can be shortened to a variety of other names (mori, mo, tomo) and because I think it's important to keep in mind that everything is ephemeral...from life itself, to, hopefully, the cut-off, empty place I've found myself in.

Post Re: Discuss your user-name
Mudlark is an old western term for a Mule. The term originated with the Gold prospectors of the American West. I guess it was a play on the poetic references in romantic poetry to nightengales and larks singing. Most of these men were solitary types that would take off "into the Hills" looking for placer gold. The braying of the Mules that many of them rode or packed supplies on was referred to as the singing of the Mudlarks. Mules tend to be smarter and better work animals than horses. The are also more rugged.

Much of my life I always seemed to do other people's dirty jobs- I was strong, willing and availble. I've never been much to look at ( I say that I was the kind of kid that mom had to hang a pork chop around my meck so the dog would play with me.) So I've come to identify with mules as unglamourous but thoroughly reliable workers.
