Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
Here's Nine Feet Underground for you people who're interested in hearing it:
Caravan - Nine Feet Underground
YouTube has the song, but it's split and sounds like shit on there.
If you're going to listen to it, please listen to the whole thing. Some passages are a little boring, but, overall, it's a great song. It may be my next SotW.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
Great song Reanimator. Very relaxing, I feel there is always something weird/surreal about listening to music by people who have passed away.
I still need to think of a new SOTW, I just haven't listened to a lot of music recently <_>;

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
My SotW is Thriller by Michael Jackson: Probably not my favorite song off Thriller, but I figured it would be an appropriate song for Halloween.

Dead Girl Epilogue, because I think it fits what I'm going for.

King Crimson - Starless
I can't be bothered doing this anymore. I'm only reminded that another week has passed.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
That was an awesome song, Reanimator! I don't know anything about King Crimson but I really enjoyed that, I loved the tempo change and jazzy freakout towards the end. The distorted bass was really cool too. I haven't bothered with Song Of The Week for awhile now so I'll start back up again.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
Sorry, I was being grumpy. It does and it doesn't bother me for various reasons.
I'm glad you liked the song BLT. I recently listened to Red and In the Court of the Crimson King and they are both superb. You wouldn't think that the latter was their debut with the polished sound they have. I love what mild music they produced. The vocals, although not strong in their own right, uncannily matches the mood.
Interesting choice for your song. I wouldn't have given a song like that a chance otherwise but was quietly surprised that I didn't hate it. And that goes for you too, Soulless. I enjoyed the piano and the sombre melody.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
My new SotW is Stay Together by Suede. It's a great non-album single which has great lyrics that were inspired by J.G. Ballard.
Here's the full-length song that's in my signature:
Suede - Stay Together
Here's the music video:
Come to my house tonight We can be together in the nuclear sky And we will dance in the poison rain And we can stay a while in Heaven today
Let's stay together Let's stay, these days are ours Let's die together? Two hearts under the skyscrapers
There's a time bomb in the high rise There's a blue suburban dream Will I see you up in paradise Or have you come to catch me?
Come to my arms tonight Just you and me together under electric light And she will dance in the poison air And we can stay together Two hearts under the skyscrapers
There's a time bomb in the high rise There's a blue suburban dream Will I see you up in Paradise Or have you come to catch me?
Come to my arms I'm lost Just you and me together in the year of the horse Single file in the nuclear night And we could feel a little closer As we tumble through the sky
Let's stay together, let's stay these days are ours Let's stay together Two hearts under a skyscraper Let's stay together, let's stay in this broken down love Let's stay together, two hearts under the skyscrapers
The full-length version of the song is in my signature. It's superior to the edited version that was used for the music video.
I've posted the song a few times here already, so I'm guessing that at least a few of you heard it.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
My new SotW is Spanish Castle Magic by Jimi Hendrix. I'm also gonna include the intro EXP from the same album, Axis: Bold As Love, since it's one of my favorite album intros.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
My new SOTW is Vessels by Philip Glass which is taken from the Koyaanisqatsi soundtrack: I trimmed the track down with Audacity in hopes that you folks will listen to the entire thing. Anyway, I always go into a trance-like state when I listen to this.

Re: Song of the Week (SotW)
New SotW. Witchcraft is for fans of Sabbath and classic/prog rock from the seventies. Great riffs and a filthy guitar tone.
