How every pair of sunglasses I own is scratched to hell. I literally don't wear them. I put them on like, once a year on a whim when I'm driving, then don't touch them again until the next whim, and then I can't see shit.

I need to go buy a new pair. A fucking cheap pair. I have to start driving in the daylight hours again, and also I drive to school at sunset, which is a bitch and a half.

some people comments on the web about education for educations sake got me thinking. if they actually believe in learning for the sake of it, then shouldn't they be all about doing that for free instead of having to take out huge loans and be in debt for the rest of your life?

Most of the time they deserve it for being too pretentious to attend a cheap school. Cuz $40,000 a year at a puh-rivate school means you're worth more than me.

No, not really. It's just an illusion people have because it costs so much more - obviously if you're paying $150,000 for an education, it must be better, right? But it's not. It's the same garbage, the same rigamarole, the same gauntlet, all for a shitty piece of paper that says you payed money and now you can get a job. Private schools just come with an extra puff of prestigious flatulence. It means fuck all. The only thing that dictates the quality of your education is you, and the only thing that matters in regards to your school is that it was accredited so your diploma actually means something.

It's really, really dumb to put yourself into ridiculous amounts of debt for fucking college. Especially if you're going into a field where you're not going to make that much.

If you want to be a dickwad that only cares about jobs - pay to go to college.

If you want to learn - go to the library or download materials off the internet.

Needless to say, I kind of regret going to college, but I had no way of knowing at the time that my outlook on things would be as it stands today. At the very least, I met motivating people and learned about great mathematical ideas. And my entire college career probably cost 15K at the most so I'm not sweating it.

Shoe collecting. Not even so much women's shoes, but people who like, collect Nike sneakers just to keep them on display in their house. Paying upwards of $500. For sneakers. You aren't going to wear.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with collecting. Action figures, toys, guns, knives, whatever, that's cool. It's interesting. There's a story or something unique or at least amusing behind each thing with that shit. Sneakers are just fucking sneakers. You just buy them to say, "Hey look, I spent a lot of money on these sneakers!"

My roommate does this. He has like 10 pairs of shoes. He buys them from Ebay, because "He wants to create a clothing label".
