Dwelling of Duels has a new website! Video game rock!

Dwelling of Duels (DoD) is a website featuring a monthly friendly competition wherein musicians submit their covers/arrangements of various video game songs, each entry featuring a live instrument (usually guitar, but occasionally other stuff is entered, like keyboard, vocals, trumpet, whatever). Most of the songs entered are rock or metal, but it's not exclusively so.
We used to piggyback on the vgmix.com website, but that shut down awhile ago so we were forced to find a new one, and it's finally up!
It's in beta-ish mode and will continue to be upgraded over the coming months/weeks, but there's a search function that will allow you to find music from a particular game or by a particular artist. The "best" songs are more or less the ones that score high each month, so you can find a good random sampling of songs by downloading the top songs from each month.
One specific recommendation: If you like Dream Theater, check out the artists "
norg" and "
Prince of Darkness".
