 R.I.P. Satoshi Kon
Satoshi Kun has passed away at age 47. I don't watch much anime really, but this guy was a true master. He was up there with Miyazaki and the like. I am pretty bummed out, but I guess he has one more film that will be released posthumously. Sorry if this doesn't warrant a thread, but some others here must enjoy his work. http://www.nypress.com/blog-7137-rip-satoshi-kon-%281963-2010%29.html

I watched Tokyo Godfathers a few weeks ago. It was on TV here. Really good movie.

 Re: R.I.P. Satoshi Kon
It's a shame he passed, Perfect Blue is an amazing movie. Although I wasn't so enamoured with Paranoia Agent.

 Re: R.I.P. Satoshi Kon
I don't really watch that much anime either but I noticed he directed and was part of the animators for Perfect Blue. That's a great film and I really should watch it again.
His other films that he worked on seem interesting as well.

 Re: R.I.P. Satoshi Kon
WHAT? NO... I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. OH NO... damn cancer! I really admired his work, I saw all of his movies, all of them are my favorites, especially Paranoia Agent and Tokyo Godfathers. I was waiting for his new work: The Dream Machine. R.I.P. (I think I'm going to watch all Satoshi Kon movies tonight...)

R.I.P. He wrote the script for my favorite film from Memories: I've yet to watch Paprika. I've been meaning to watch it for many years now.

I've never really heard of him but I've seen some of his stuff. Guess I'll look for the rest of it.

 Re: R.I.P. Satoshi Kon
Thanks for that. I saw that he had posted something shortly before his death, but I didn't know it had been translated.
