Even if nothing else comes of this, I found this pretty awesome to read. When she asks if where she is at in her life now will either bring her success or leave her lost in life, I definitely feel the latter of the two. I graduated both high school and college with honors. I played the game. For the most part, it was all easy. The hardest part was usually convincing myself to get up in the morning and go. Now, I feel totally lost when it comes to what I "want to be when I grow up". I'll keep trying, though.

Very nice. I gave up my faith in the education system long ago. These days self-education is the only way for me.

I really enjoyed reading that speech, it could've been very powerful had she spoke with a bit more tenacity(in the video). But as much as I agree with everything she said, it doesn't change the fact that, in our current society, having a degree is important, in my case at least.

For some reason, hearing her speech gives me hope for my future. Even though it is still up to me to make changes.

when i read articles or essays like this i always come to an inner confliction. am i being practical or have i become that jaded that i find the attitude in these articles idealized?
