Not that I'm a Mac hater, but that thing seems incredibly overpriced. Especially considering the fact that the only thing you can do to it is change the ram, which means buying another $11,000 computer in a few years.

This is a fantasy money thread, though, so I suppose I should just keep my mouth shut.

In reality, a $1000 mac mini would be enough for my personal recording needs.

i'd get plastic surgery on my chin and hopefully lips. i've never liked how thin my lips were and the older i get the more pronounced the cleft in my chin gets, which i hate. i look more and more like my mother which i hate.

How much is a lot of money? Like, win the lottery money? If so..... first thing I'd do is pay off all my parent's debt/mortgage then buy them a vacation house somewhere.

if we're talking a lot of money, i'd clean up the oil spill.
if it's less i'd take a plane as far away from the US as i could.

I'd complete my lightsaver collection, upgrade our satellite service to get a DVR and get a DVD recorder, get a bluray player and upgrade my DVD collection to blurays, and my whole wish list on Amazon, get a new top of the like computer just for the hell of it.
I'd like to get one of those high quality sex dolls if I wasn't living with my parents.

A blu ray player and a new hd tv for our living room, loads of blu rays of films I wanna see in hd, an xbox 360 and a wii, gears of war series, tekken 6, the metroid trilogy, house of the dead overkill, dead rising, all the dmc games, the new prince of persia forgotten sands. A new keyboard capable of layering multiple recorded tracks so i can make music easily. and a fan for my commy as it keeps overheating. and air con for my room.

I'd pay off my debt to my parents and move out of here.

That's a boring response though so I'd probably get some new music equipment and software, a 3DS when that comes out, a year supply of amp energy drinks (I'll drink it in a month), and maybe a sea-doo.

I'd buy a new apartment. Large but with just 2 or 3 rooms + kitchen.

I'd buy a great old Victorian house for me & my mom to live in. I'd also hire all kinds of help so that she could come home & have physical therapy & everything else she needs right there. I'd get an elevator or one of those chairs that go up the stair railings so she could make it up the stairs with no problem. I'd get her fully evaluated to see exactly what her problems are to make sure she gets better & get a specialist who could help us get her off at least half the medication she's on. I'm SURE she doesn't actually need it all & it's probably just making her health worse.
I'd might buy a house or castle in the Scottish countryside & one in either Cape Cod, or Salem, Massachusetts.




I'd also get myself fully tested & diagnosed to see what exactly is "wrong" with me. I know something is but I'm not quite sure & never will be until I get the proper diagnosis. After I get a proper diagnosis, I will then try to get myself into proper treatment, if there is one.

I'd pay off all bills I owe & pay all credit cards of both me & my mom & medical bills.

I'd start some sort of non-profit organization aimed at people with issues similar to my own who have no or little money or insurance, at no cost to them.
I'll donate a lot to a lot of different charities.

I'd buy every collector's edition dvd set of "Stargate SG-1." I'd buy all the seasons & the movies of "The X-Files." Plus, I'd by the rest of the seasons of "Battlstar Galactica" that I don't have yet. I'd build a library in my house if there wasn't already one & buy lots of used books to fill up the spaces that the books I already have have left behind. I'd also take more online classes. I'd get myself a car to make things easier to leave the house.
I'd buy nearly everything from "The Pyramid Collection"


I might get a farm somewhere, maybe in the southern part of my state-- somewhere where there's lots of land-- & get all kinds of animals (cows, pigs, horses, goats, etc.) & keep them as pets (although they would be outside, in stables, etc.) & every Autumn, & maybe every Spring, I would have a petting zoo.

Just how much money is "a lot"?

If it's not very much, I'd buy all the books, games and DVDs I want.

If we're really talking '*a lot*, then I'd buy a spacious house with a nice property a bit from town where properties are cheaper. Add a WV Beetle and a course in mechanics so I could fix it myself.

If I had multiple millions of dollars to blow, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any of the following:

. A high-end blu-ray player
. A high-end plasma TV
. A $5000+ custom-built computer which would include great peripherals for it such as a high-end printer and scanner
. A high-end stereo
. A high-end SLR camera
. Fancy Italian and/or French furniture (I'd maybe get one of those fur blankets in Rezu's pic to throw on top of a couch, but wouldn't want any animal activists to kill me for it)
. A $10,000 alcohol collection
. A nice pool table
. An adequate car that could get me places
. A pool

Fuck the rest. I wouldn't need a large mansion or anything like that.
