I would pay off my giant student loan; travel to Tokyo, Berlin, Prague, Dublin, Vancouver; move to a bigger Canadian city; buy a small house there; build a recording studio in it; buy new amps, effects, guitars; buy a huge wall-sized book shelf and fill it with books... Am I out of money yet?

If we are talking "a rich unknown relative died and left you 10 million dollars" money, I'd buy a minimalist house on a lake in Quebec, pay off my school debt, and become a literary recluse.

If we're talking about "sudden 100,000 dollar windfall from a lawsuit against a fortune 500 company" money, I'd buy every goddamn manga I ever wanted, a wrought-iron canopy bed, a new PC, some more terabytes of storage, and an avalanche of books and all the necessary cases to house them in.

And then if I had some left over, I might consider saving it. Or I might just go out and buy stupid weeaboo shit like figures and Gundam models. DDDD

All I need right now is a spare $5000 CAD to blow. There's no doubt in my mind what I'd spend it on: High-end audio equipment -- mostly headphones (yup, more than one pair), a headphone amp, and a soundcard -- and parts to build a high-end computer.

I'd invest $2,500 in the audio equipment; $2,500 in the computer.

Depending on how much I had, I would either buy a computer that would be future proof for about 20 years or have a mansion built in the woods and fill it with booby traps.

All the money in the world couldn't buy you that.
