Surprisingly, with my background in music, I find it difficult to get into a lot of what people generally consider to be "classical". I tend to associate some of it with high society but that's kind of off-topic. I think it is more because I hold the RIFF above all else in music and a lot of classical stuff focused more on the piece as a whole rather than one particular phrase. I do like some Russian composers, though. And generally anything that sounds sad or melancholy.

I enjoy some of it in a totally random way(like I do with all music). Mostly more "powerful" stuff like Deus Irae and O Fortuna. I'm just kind of trying to grasp the whole thing if you get what I'm saying.

Michelle Forbes. Those bangs. Those eyebrows. That mole.

She's also just slightly taller than me, which is even sexier.

Battlestar Galactica. No surprise, but damn. I've got it hard. Almost as bad as Mass Effect was. Probably worse, because there is an abundance of merch and I can't stop buying it. I will probably spend my first paycheck on the Blu-Ray box set.

I know I'm like four years behind the curve, but I'm always behind with things. It's pretty much the same thing that happened with ME, too. I flirted with it, didn't care for it, then years later came back and creamed myself. :hot

I'm currently obsessed with homesteading, buying small plots of land, building your own solar-powered home, living off-the-grid, and working at a job as little as is feasible to maintain a simple, minimalistic lifestyle.

That sounds great. I hope you succeed with this, if you actually attempt it. The idea of minimalism and simplicity... although I wouldn't go so far as to call it an obsession for me, I do find it very appealing.

Recently I've been thinking about what it would be like to live without electric lighting. A small house with no electric lighting, perhaps just a fireplace. This would allow me to adapt to the natural rhythms of the day and night cycle. I might be able to finally sleep normally for the first time since I was a child.

I also love the idea of catching, hunting, or growing as much of my food as possible. I feel that it would be deeply satisfying, as though it is one of the most natural and correct things that a human can do.

Anyway, I hope you do something like you are talking about. :pirate

lamps. I want to find a few for my room. I was thinking of someday investing in a street lamp, a park bench some plants such as....ivy or something and then move my bed out of the room. I'd have the street lamp in the middle of the room, and the park bench against the wall and I'd sleep under the street lamp on a futon.

Oh yeah, lamps I think I want to get these glowing mushrooms and scatter them throughout the room.

Portable apps.

I find it awesome how you can stick portable versions of your favorite apps on a memory card and use your apps on any computer without losing any of your settings.

I want to get a good thumb drive and load it up with portable versions of all my favorite apps. Then if I go somewhere I can use someone else's computer without having to use the crappy apps that are installed on it.

Razor blades.

These are my favorite blades ATM (and I'm damn glad that they work good for me because they're so bloody cheap; you can get 100 Astra Superior Platinum blades for just $10 which is about a year and a half's worth of blades for me):

As soon as I'm out of them I'm gonna order a hundred more.

Hatsune Miku. This is actually pretty surprising to me because up until this point I hated her. I considered anything vocaloid to be annoying and almost as bad as autotune. As for Hatsune Miku I just considered her to be the most overrated annoying thing in Japan, but now I fucking love her. lol I started listening to some of her less popular songs and once I was able to overlook that annoying voice I actually started to enjoy the music quite a bit. Now I'm use to it and have no problem with her voice, or really anything about her. It looks like I've finally fallen victim to this Hatsune Miku craze.
