To be honest, all of those jobs should be considered volunteer, because I wasn't paid of any of them by my employer (my father ended up paying me a really meager amount so I wouldn't feel bad). I guess that's why I don't work, but volunteer experience can't hurt, right?

Thing is, I don't know exactly what type of job I'd like. I mean, sure, I'd be an excellent video game player, or a zombie survival teacher. But in terms of the real world, what do you think I should do? I often don't like working with people, but I don't mind it.

And I suppose it would be my first official job, all things considered.

If I'm gone for a year, assume that I am dead.

Considering that you're only 19, that isn't all that bad. I'm sure someone wouldn't hesitate much to hire you.

How are you going to format it onto a doc? It's really important how you show your work. If you like, send me your resume and I can go over it with you.

Btw, very impressed with your work so far. You've done a lot (just as Chair said) :friends

See, the bad thing about two of those references is that I was working alongside my father. The two jobs we didn't get paid, and the employee/employer ties were severed, along with any ideas of actually using them for reference (They ended on bad notes because they didn't pay us). Both of those businesses are no longer in business (they both packed up and left), so it makes me feel nervous putting them down. I'd put my father down for reference because we both worked there, but that doesn't seem professional.

I already have it on a word document, but I'm just thinking about what else I could put on it. All of my references seem dead, so is there anything else I can use? Is it good to attach a letter of recommendation? How many of those can I attach?

Don't bother. Just put down "References available upon request". Part time positions almost never require references. They just want to see whether or not you can handle the tasks and your work availability.

l have decent experience in job search, so if you're comfortable with sending me your resume, l'd love to help you out. lt's also all about visual appeal. Make yourself memorable out of all the other applicants.

lf they do inquire into your previous experience, you can always explain the situation. lt doesn't seem like you were at fault at all. They won't ask into the details of your relationship with your employer. They usually just want to know what experience and skills you gained from the work.

Maturity and sense of responsibility is key.

What kind of work were you looking for? Food service? Trade skill? Retail? Stock?

You have a pretty good resume, especially for your age. You have nothing to worry about at all when applying to jobs.

Ok, ok. You can help me out since you seem so willing.

And...I'm not really sure what I'd be doing. I suppose I'm just getting the resume ready for when I either get a job, move out, or both.
