What's your level of depression at the moment?
My level of depression at the moment is moderate and has been for well over a year now. However, If I were to have responded to this thread two years ago, I would have told you that my depression-level was severe.
Note: Please don't mention your suicidal tendencies in here.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
Low most of the time, but whenever I'm sufficiently deprived of outside stimuli (like, say, in bed unable to sleep) I'll start thinking, and with thoughts come more thoughts... depressing thoughts...
God damn superego is constantly yelling about how I should conform to what I percieve most of my fellow men expect me to be! I can usually drown him in apathy, but not always.

Very low, I don't easily get depressed. The only times I have been depressed, or burned out more like it, have been when I have tried to force myself through a school most hated.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
I hate that moment in bed and u can t help ur mind wandering...it never wanders to good places. I kinda have a medium cloud of depression all the time but if something happens to make it worse, it s hard to bring myself back up again. I have times when i m not depressed at all, but they don t seem to last long.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
That happens to me almost every night when I try to sleep..... But on the note of outside stimuli, it could be because, as a hiki, you probably don't get enough sunlight. Biologically, sunlight helps the body to produce vitamin D which improves your mood. Though depending on what caused you to become a hiki in the first place, you might still have some problems....

Um... I would have to say moderate/high... Usually it takes a lot of energy just to text people(I text all day) with a cheerful attitude... Maybe 4-5 hours out of the day,4-5 days a week...

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
Right now - probably zero. It's been fairly low through out the summer break (spiking slightly on my birthday). I feel as though I have come to terms with my situation, and the lack of friends in 'real' life no longer bothers me - I'll just keep working hard, and wait until certain external pressures are released (which I am currently unable to do anything about). I'm feeling slightly anxious though - especially with regard to my schoolwork.

I hope you get out of your depression soon. Is there anything in particular that has caused you to be depressed?

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
My father acts like he thinks I'm a freak... And going to high school is annoying, far too many people.. And it takes an hour with train and bus, and I really hate public transportation, I feel like everyone is looking at me... And I feel like "normal" people actually are getting more stupid. -_- I really want to quit high school... But well it could be worse I guess..

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
Yeah, as bad as it may seem, it could always be worse. School can be a horrible experience, I'll admit that. Some people will tell you 'no, it's not so bad and will get worse once you get older', but that's not true in my opinion. For a person who experiences a great deal of social anxiety, school can be quite a nightmare. Once you get older though, people will not be the same as they were in high-school. Denmark sounds like a great country, so you're really lucky to be living there. I read that Denmark ranks as being the second happiest country in the world, is one of the least corrupt countries in the world and is also one of the most peaceful nations.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
I think the people in Denmark are far too touchy... In my class there this girl, I've only known for a couple of weeks and she keeps hugging me... And the teachers at my old school too, they keep hugging me.. It scares me.. And people keep coming up to me on the street. I really don't like that...

It sounds like a really friendly country to me...but a little too friendly for people like us.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
I can understand why you might not like that - I am much the same, and would avoid such physicality. In actual fact, I don't recall ever hugging or being hugged by another girl who wasn't a family member - but I don't really mind. Personal space is a nice thing. Another thing that annoys me, especially here in Switzerland/Germany is all the kissing. Everyone at school is always kissing each other on the cheeks when greeting each other...I would never do that.

I actually crave physical contact from time to time, it never happens here, we re pretty reserved but i agree about the kissing, completely gross everyone doing that, especially people you barely know.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
::guilty:: I'll admit, I kiss Vivian's cheek when I see her. Although, I've known her for 3 years. Is that the same thing? I kiss Emily, too. But we were never close until 8th grade(2 years ago), and then we were joined at the hip. Then we all went to different schools. T~T I still cry when I think of that last day of school, to tell the truth. It was the sobfest of 2008. Ahhh sorry, I'm ranting. .>_<. Back on topic, I've been...eh? Up and down. Cried a lot last night, but Leslie(friend from school) was talking dirty and was making me laugh hysterically(for your sake I won't get into detail) today. It's been an emotional rollercoaster. Thank Buddha for texting. =3 And MySpace.

Mine is somewhat controlled due to medication but it's still bad. It's due to Asperger's and family problems.

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
Moderate at the moment, but it's hard to gauge. It's worst when I wake up in the morning and come home from work in the evening. When I'm busy and distracted I'm not as morose and antisocial as usual, but it always comes back to me. Often I am reduced to lying in bed with the lights off and curtains drawn, trying to control the bad thoughts and feelings that come to me. At the moment I'm sitting in bed trying to convince myself that getting out and meeting friends will be fun. I'm not putting up a very good argument!

Re: What's your level of depression at the moment?
Pretty high at the moment. Sorta feels like there's a gigantic bookcase above my head, ready to collapse at any moment. Staying awake all night thinking about how much I hate myself drives me insane.
