 E3 Thread - 2010
No one made an E3 thread, so I made one.
Thoughts anyone? Post what you know here!

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
All I know of E3 2010 is what I've heard from others. Which isn't much. I know Nintendo released more about the new Zelda and that they are making a Donkey Kong Country for Wii. That sounds great. It's being developed by Retro Studios, too, who also developed Metroid Prime. So, I have great hopes for that. I'm still waiting on Kirby, but since I didn't watch it, I don't know anything about that. I'm glad Nintendo is keeping the Wii going, because I don't want to bother with a new console. The 3DS is most likely out of the question.

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
The new kirby looks interesting and has a new visual style (he's made of yarn) and gameplay mechanics. I'm pretty happy about the new Donkey Kong Country, Icarus (confirmed for the 3DS), and Paper Mario. The new zelda trailer looks great and I can't wait to try it with the Wii Motion Plus. Epic Mickey is also catching my interests.
I haven't watched much of the other company's shows but I'll be sure to do that. (I'm probably going to check out Portal 2 and Sony's show.)

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
I haven't watched any of them in full, but I saw a few snippets and read a few write-ups of the presentations.
I thought Nintendo did pretty good this year. Last year's wasn't very good. Looking forward to most of the games they had, and there was a shit load. Seeing Kid Icarus made me poop.
Microsoft's wasn't good at all. Kinetic looks sketchy, and the games coming out look even worse, but we'll see.
Haven't seen Sony's yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they have. It's probably just them showing off Move though.

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
People will be playing it for years. I'm kinda excited. Sony's press conference had a mixed reception with me. Everyone is really jumping on the bandwagon for motion controls, so I'm wondering when that's going to go dead (if it ever does).

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
While I like many of the Wii remote's uses, I'd definitely be okay if gaming went back to standard controllers.

I don't like motion controls. I'm old school. Hopefully with the online play Goldeneye won't have lag problems and will have random matches where you can customize the match settings a bit (unlike Brawl).

 Re: E3 Thread - 2010
this fall and winter i probably won't be on here or the internet in general much. for the Wii - Zelda skyward sword of course looks brilliant and Metroid other M looks like a hell of a lot of fun. for the 360 - i already knew about the games i cared about coming out. (fallout new vegas, Assassin's creed brotherhood) i'm trying to get over the disappointment i had with fable 2 now that fable 3 is coming out - you don't play fable for the story (which was downright insulting with 2), you play fable for the freedom. so i'm kinda getting excited about that one. not interested in the Kinect at all. for the ps3 - still no exclusive games i would choose to play on that than the 360. the new controllers are just a rip off of the wii's controllers but since i don't play games on the ps3 there's no incentive to get them. sony's been a major let down ever since the ps3 was unveiled for me and it doesn't look like that's going to change. i wish they'd wake up and realize that it's about the video games, and those are supposed to be fun.
