 PMS (females AND males)
Just cause PMS is usually a female thing, doesn't mean men don't experience it too. http://www.4-men.org/testosterone/pms.htmlAnyways, l've noticed my mood is susceptible to my period. l get more depressed, more sensitive, more emotional, and l eat like a fucking whale lt's really not a good time for me. l hate how l can so easily be lumped into the category of crazy when l have my period. l can't help but be teary and vicious What do you experience during your PMS? Any remedies to making the ugly less...ugly? l've got nothing l say, just love me and stay away. Even that will piss me off though.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
All people have hormonal cycles. Everyone is affected by their hormonal cycles in slightly different ways.
Not all women get "PMS"; that's a myth. It wouldn't be described as a "syndrome" if it actually affected all women.
It's good to see something pointing out that men are affected by cyclically changing hormones too, but I hate articles that generalize about people to the degree that that one did.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
Personally, my hormone levels are pretty consistent. If that's how you'd say that. I don't know much about this kind of stuff, really. Either way, I don't feel changes in mood very often at all. I wonder if it is connected to my lack of sexual desire. If I have nothing to be depressed about, I will be consistently "laid back" for long periods of time. If I am depressed, I will be sad in the same manner until I find the source. I'm never really, like, ecstatic unless something awesome surprises me. So yeah, I doubt I experience cyclic mood shifts.
BTW, would that thing where people get sad during the change of the seasons fall under here?

I dunno if it fits in this thread or not, but I am positive that I feel affected by S.A.D.I always get far more depressed during the winter months and feel significantly better in mind, body and soul when I actually go outside and get some sun.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
I really don't experience PMS or mood problems during my cycle. I know males who experience their cycles far more extreme than I do.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
I never really 'believed' in PMS until a few years ago, when I started to notice that a few days before my period, I would become highly irritable and pick fights with people for really small things. I would also get really annoying, and find it more difficult than usually to regulate my emotions. It's definitely not fun, and I definitely know what you mean about slipping into the 'crazy' category around that time of the month. Eeessh. I know that seem like a manic perma-bitch for that given amount of time.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
I just tend to get MORE irritable than usual. And I'm usually pretty irritable. I also get hungry but can't eat. I don't know.

i always retain water and have food cravings i have to give into. sometimes i get zits or cramp. it's different each time. i found that pamprin or the other one midol help out when things get really bad.
i'm really looking forward to the day when menopause is over, and i never have to deal with any of this again.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
I don't always get mood changes, but when I do, I'm get a bit more irritable. Lately, I've been getting extreme lethargy to the point that I sometimes can barely move and sleep almost all day. It really sucks. I've googled it and apparently, it's normal, but there's nothing much you can do about it. I'll try changing my diet - the thing is, my diet is already quite good, so I don't know. I really don't like this happening to me though, because it means that I can't do anything during those days. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to hear em

It's different each time. Sometimes I get really depressed and sometimes I feel like crying the whole time, but I always get sleepy and really hungry.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
I don't know about PMS, but I do get very horny the days before my period. Isn't that completely the wrong time? How am I ever going to procreate?? And the time I get emotional and shit is pretty much during my period.

yeah, this happens to me too - before and during. It doesn't seem to make any sense does it?

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
, but I've heard that masturbating on your period can make it end faster. I also heard that it could make it go slower or not change it all, though, depending on the person. Personally, I don't often get horny on my period. =/ But if I do I feel very sadistic. >.> I guess that says something about my PMS. xD But I only get very emotional for the first day or two of my period, and the days leading up to it.

Huh. For the last week I've been having violent mood swings, a bottomless stomach, and hot flashes. Guess this explains a lot. I would make a kawaii girl. Uguu.

 Re: PMS (females AND males)
You would, cutie Well, my psych suspects I have PMS disorder. Didn't even know there was such a thing. Apparently it's when PMS severely disturbs my mood and mental stability, etc. What a drag.
