Quote:
Squidbillies is an animated television series about the Cuylers, an impoverished family of anthropomorphic hillbilly squids living in the Appalachian region of North Georgia's mountains. The show is produced by Williams Street Studios for the Adult Swim programming block of Cartoon Network. It is written by Dave Willis, of Aqua Teen Hunger Force fame, and Jim Fortier, previously of The Brak Show, both of whom worked on the Adult Swim series Space Ghost Coast to Coast.[1] The animation is done by Radical Axis (studio), with background design by Ben Prisk.

I love Squidbillies! It's one of the best original series on Adult Swim.
Any other squid-lovers out there?

I hate to tell ya, but I can't stand Squidbillies. It makes my ears bleed and raises my contempt for rednecks :fun However, Aqua Team Hunger Force, Space Ghost, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, Mission Hill, Daria, Venture Bros., Frisky Dingo, and Metalocalypse are all the shit :cool

I've only watched it a few times, but it seems alright. I don't watch CN much anymore. Or TV in general, really.

I watch this often on the adult swim website. It's one of few funniest and (half) decent shows they have besides ATHF and Home Movies. I can stand some of the humor they show, but I can also see how other people would complain about its "crappy" art style and comedy.

I think the art style is charming. It's kind of annoying how people who watch anime compare the art style of everything cartoon to anime. "If it doesn't look anime enough it's crappy artwork."
Anime style shows have become so generic it's nice to see an original piece such as Squidbillies that is still (heavily) geared towards adults.

I like other Adult Swim cartoons better but I found it pretty entertaining to watch. It's too bad Teletoon (Canada loses a point) has become a total bore fest by removing the adult swim shows. I think once a week at an obscure time Aqua Teen Hunger Force still comes on but other than that they got rid of Squidbillies, The Brak Show, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021 and all the other great ones. ATHF used to air every night too (although they started playing the same three episodes over and over again for a few months probably causing the ratings to lower). Not only did they get rid of these shows but they replaced it with more Canadian fueled comedy like this stupid show called Punch that tries and fails to make fun of celebrities.

Hmmm... *adds that to list of reasons not to goto Canada*

I miss those shows too. They even cancelled Sons of Butcher, one of only a few Canadian shows worth watching. :(
