What do you think? Masterpiece or stupid?

It's one of my favorite movies that I throw in all the time while I'm on line or have nothing better to do but if you don't get the humor you don't get it. I actually didn't like it the first time I watched it. It's like that with a lot of people.

I watched this recently when it was on Channel 4. The first time round it didn't leave much of an impression, but when I watched it again I really enjoyed it.

If I'm gone for a week, don't fret HikiCulture.
If I'm gone for a month, it's no big deal.
If six months pass by, something is up.
If I'm gone for a year, assume that I am dead.

It's an okay film. He says funny things, but that's about all I got from it.

There were funny parts, but I thought it was an incredibly stupid movie overall & it's really dull to sit through, despite the humor. I don't understand all the hype that surrounded it when it first came out. But at the same time, I can recognize a lot of myself in Napoleon lol :crazy , so that does make me like it a little more.

When it came out, I'd repeatedly watch it. Haven't watched it for years.

It's an alright movie but whatever novelty it had was ruined by the people who constantly quoted it.

"Idiot."

I like it - but I've seen it too much it doesn't have the same impact as the first time. I feel like I'm more like Pedro for some reason. :unsure
I was always confused about the era this film took place.

Judging by most of the music and fashion in the film, you'd think it would take place in the 80's or so, but Kip met his girlfriend online and they play Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys in the movie, so it obviously has to be set in the present (or at least the late 90's/early 2000's).

I heard that it's essential to listen to the DVD commentary track. Supposedly lots of the arbitrary crap that goes on in the film was inspired by things the director of the film saw, heard, and experienced in real life.

the first time i saw it i didn't know what to think. after watching it a second time i liked it and now i love it. the way it was received and constantly quoted reminded me strongly of ferris beuler's day off.

I've seen this movie multiple times...it's...not bad. It's an acquired taste. It will definitely be remembered for a long time though, not really sure why, I'm gonna guess because it's just one of those movies that gives off the "look at me I'm an original movie that's targeted at high schoolers" aura.

The dance scene is great though :cool

I believe Napoleon's student I.D. in the beginning had the year the movie came out on it. I'm too lazy to check right now. But yeah, it was supposed to see really out of time.

I really loved it. I too have a poster in my room, haha.

I think to kind of fully understand it, you need to have grown up in the Utah/Idaho area... And Chair is correct about the commentary. It offers a little bit of insight on some of the situations in the movie.
