 'Monster' Pulled from canadian water.
My local tabloid news website reported this: | | | | Quote: Reports from a remote Canadian community say a strange creature was pulled from a local creek earlier this month. The locals say the 'monster' was removed from the water by a dog. In what may be an elaborate hoax, the bald-faced creature was posted on the official website ( www.kitchenuhmaykoosib.com) of the Big Trout Lake community. The 30cm dead creature could be that of a bear cub or otter but the internet is a flurry with claims it may be more paranormal than that. It is being linked to mythological creatures like the Loch Ness monster and Ogopogo. | | | | |
pics here http://au.news.yahoo.com/news-gallery/a/-/article/7273368/image/1/monster-pulled-from-canadian-water/Have they found out what the poor creature is yet? Looks like an otter with a shaved head, though the big teeth on it throws me a bit. I like a good mystery, however in this case it just looks like an as yet unidentifiable dead animal. Anybody got any other cryptozoology stories ?

It looks sort of like a beaver bear otter. After seeing only the first photo I thought it looked like a bloated human but the other pics changed that. Strange, I hope they find out what it is.

It could be a beaver, but I didn't see a flat tail. Maybe it's an otter?

The teeth got me too. I was thinking otter but I thought i saw some curved, fang shaped teeth in there. Otters have big, blunt teeth dont they? Thanks for the other stories, they are really interesting. That image is quite freaky! looks a bit like a parrot dog

Looks like the bloated corpse of an otter to me. The face hair might be missing because of decomposition.

Re: 'Monster' Pulled from canadian water.
I think it's probably an otter, but whatever it is, it's definitely not paranormal. As for the second thing, the one that was lying on the sand, I think it was either a deformed version of some animal that we already know about (human babies can be born deformed, so animals can too). But I guess it's slightly possible that it's some sort of sea creature that just got washed up to shore finally. I know there are all kinds of undiscovered creatures living in the sea.

Oh that blobfish looks like one of those Mr. men! it looks kind of sad.
Deep sea creatures are always weird, probably because we aren't used to seeing them.

You mean Mr. Saturn? Omg, you're right! I was wondering why it looked familiar. I usually love deep sea life, but that thing is just disgusting >_<

Re: 'Monster' Pulled from canadian water.
Otter. Early in decomposition process under oceanic (saline) conditions. May have been born with a deformity. May have suffered from a skin condition resulting in hair loss.
Dead creatures tend to look pretty odd to us land mammals when they've spent some time in the ocean before being washed up on the beach.
I don't see how that could be anything other than a sea otter.

Re: 'Monster' Pulled from canadian water.
Oops, missed the part about the fresh water. So it's a species of otter that lives in fresh water.
