 Post your video game accomplishments.
I thought I'd make a topic where people can talk about their achievments in various video games whether it be a high score, a completed game, a run through with a set handicap, or just a hard level to beat.
I've been inching towards beating Touhou 5:Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil on hard difficulty and I can reach Flandre Scarlet in the extra level. I've beaten Imperishable Night on normal and hard and reached Mokou in the extra stage and I'm working on Lunatic difficulty. I just completed a buster only run on Mega Man 9 and 10 but I've done that before.
So post everytime you accomplish something that you want to mention in this thread.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares (Xbox 360) - #1 score on amateur, normal, and veteran difficulties
Outrun Online Arcade (Xbox 360) - #1 time on Goal E, #2-3 on all other Goals. I had some #1 and #2 scores in Outrun mode and Heart Attack mode on some of the Goals.
Tekken 6 (Xbox 360) - #1 score in Scenario Mode (solo)
Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360) - #1 Time Attack with Dural, #2 Time Attack with Eileen
Maplestory (PC) - First warrior to level 100, highest level legit (non-hacking) warrior in open beta when it ended

I haven't played on that character in about 4 years, so unless you played that long ago, you've probably never heard of me.

Hmm. I wonder how that worked out? Who's the guy in the hat and sunglasses standing near me? I used to play with a guy named McNooblet. He was a hermit.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
I've beaten all Metroidvania games 100%. All items, Lvl 1 runs on hard, all souls/spells etc. I beat Etrian Odyssey. I consider this an achievement because of the difficulty of the game. I've beaten all Zelda games 100%.
That's all I can think of. They obviously don't match up to Adam's accomplishments haha, but I'm proud.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
45.7 seconds for baby park time trial on mario kart DS. snaking ftw. I also have a expert rank on my baek in the tekken 5 rank matches. Hes the only one i bothered to get good with. I've completed pop sands of time, pop warrior within and pop two thrones on hard mode and got the water sword in pop warrior within, and the hockey stick (all thanks to video tuts on the net haha)
and thats it for me XD i dont really play single player games hardcore enough to get worthy achievements, i just play them through once then leave em haha.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
Not trying to be an ass, XBlacky, but I HATE when people snake in Mario Kart. I think it is a cheap way to get faster times, and a lot of tournaments end up being just a bunch of guys snaking and anyone who doesn't is guaranteed to lose.

I'm the highest scorer for most Smiths songs on Audiosurf.
...That's the extent of my gaming talents.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
haha, most of my friends who are fans of mario kart think so too, i guess its the same sort of predicamant with kstyle on gunz. There will always be people who feels its exploitation of glitches and others who feel its skill and is part of the game. Personally I am the latter.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
That's about 120 times better than my score. I suck at that game and Canabalt. I agree. Beating Etrian Odyssey is an achievement in it's own right. Beating the Metroidvania games at Lvl 1 must have been pretty nerve racking (at least it would be for me). I'm sure it would take a lot of patience. Wow good job that game's pretty difficult let alone getting a high score.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
I got the "Seriously..." achievement on Gears Of War. That's probably my biggest gaming achievement. Plus it was glitched so it didn't unlock until I had over 13,500 kills. Man, I poured so many hours into trying to get that achievement, it was ridiculous.

Re: Post your video game accomplishments.
I beat Streets of Rage on hard mode and Einhander on normal with regular weapons. Not exactly spectacular but it's an achievement for me. I can't survive on bullet-hell style SHMUPS, it's total insanity.
For those of you that like side-scrolling beat-em-ups and SHMUPS, check out "The Red Star" on PS2 which is a mix of both and is amazing in many ways. Games don't have to be overly complicated if less elements are executed well.

I beat Sakuya on hard in Embodiment of the Scarlet devil. Only Remilia remains.
